Planning for next week and want to bring in a GC or Port player.

Ollie Wines - BE 123, price 476k, Avg. 102

I'm warming to Wines, has dropped off a little but will have a nice run over the bye period with Hawks , Ess & Brisbane. Should drop a bit more too with a projected price of 464k.

Robbie Gray - BE 181, price 489k, Avg. 89

Projected to drop to 445k but has been a wild ride with two scores in the 30's and two scores over 130.

Gary Ablett - BE 197, price 611k, Avg. 107

Another with a wild SD, due to drop to 572k if he hits avg.

Gray easily for me. I expect him to go back to the mids now. Had the week off to get his groin right.

Has Hawks next week at home.... Then Ess & Bris, same as Wines.

Might use him as an easy $100k money maker and then get Rocky back in. All it would take is a massive score and then 2 100's and he'll make you some very handy cash.

I know you're keen on these guys, but I just can't see the value

Port has changed a lot in terms of how they play and structure and although Wines/Gray at 450k seems great, they just aren't putting up good numbers, and I don't think now is the time to be getting bench depth when you still need to complete the 22

That said, they're handy over the byes but if you've planned ahead you should be fine and wouldn't need them anyway

I'd much rather spend the extra 70-100k and get Bont/Sloane once they bottom out soon

#3
Harbrow - 5 tons in 6 games (3 wins / 3 losses so a good indication he can score either in a winning or a losing team)
Lowish BE / Bye bye to the bye / POD as well 1.3% of teams

Ryder - DPP - BE 36 - only under 80 once so far - seems to be hitting his straps

He's hardly been playing mid all year though. Been playing far more forward this year. Think the roller coaster will continue as long as he does.

I reakon Pittard this week for March for just $70k is a must. Would leave Hibbard at D7 in a couple of weeks and Robbie Gray at $450k is just to hard to resist. Even if he does go 3 x 100 in 3 weeks would get you a straight swap for a bottomed out Bont plus the 300 points you will gain over 3 weeks.

Well he has Hawks, Ess, Brisbane over the byes. Can see him towelling Hawks and Brisbane up and then Collingwood the week after, we're not bad at giving guys some easy ball. He might not even need to play as much mid time, but I do expect him to play more minutes up the ground post his bye just gone. Him and Chad will split the minutes more evenly IMO
He's good enough to get 20 and kick 3/4, easily a few 100+ scores in that, could see him with a low BE and potential to make $100k.

So who are we thinking Gray or Wines? Barrett to either one would be $170k which could make the $100k and gain 300 points more than Barrett over the Byes?

Holz

Tom Lynch next week should be 470k. seriously looking at him.

I think its better though to pick up Round 12 guys next week and then Round 11 guys next week.

Rance
Dmart
Selwood
Danger
Goldy

all great pick ups this week and next, you can also pick up round 13 rookies like Greenwood, Lloyd, Perryman

then just survive  round 11 and then you have

Rocky
Dochers
Henney
JPK
Hanners
Bont
Macrae
Dahl
Buddy
Nroo
Simpson
Hibberd

_wato

That is a fair statement Holz.

A lot of the top teams are running Bont Murphy Oliver Dahl Macrae Steele Docherty Buddy/Heeney Hibberd Newman

Murhy Bont Oliver Docherty the big 4 and I only have one of them being Murphy.

Only 175 points off the top 10 so I could make massive ground on them.

Why has this thread drifted to players who still have a bye to 'play'?

Seems the only teams with genuine ridgy didge fair dinkum 100% full on 'bye busters' are Gold Coast and Port.

Stepping stones & have the extra game to play. In the end I want Rocky but I can't see how to get him in straight away. Will either move one of Gray or Wines to the bench eventually and then loophole.

Not sure yet but Wines had a really strong finish to last season, could easily see him going 110 from here. Gray is also appealing and will be cheaper. Will assess next week.

because making it through the byes doesnt mean you need to load up on GC and Port players and besides lynch my point is that you shouldnt be trading in any GC Port players as guys with byes to play are much better.

So rather then Bye Busters lets just call GC Port players what they are

Season Busters.
