Is Jack Steele a keeper?

An interesting point here is Saints have 5 of next 6 at Etihad where Steele has only one score less than 80 so worth keeping as that swingman,

The bloke has one bad game and everyone jumps the gun. If I had the same philosophy, I would've traded T.Mitchell after round 3. Obviously hold.

miamis_finest

If I were him I'd be filthy with the coaches, Seb Ross, Jack Steven, and Koby Stevens. The 3 midfielders spend 80% on the ground whilst he plays 55%. It's ridiculous, his tank can't be that bad. These other guys are just selfish.

Hold, keep, do not trade, simple. Would be perfect M9 and F7/8

RaisyDaisy

LOL, no one is saying trade him so why are so many people arguing that?

We just want his TOG to increase :)

Or maybe his massive forehead just kept getting in the road of the play and causing turnovers.

IMO the coaching staff at St Kilda have no idea. Steele is clearly one of the best young ball winners in the comp, they need to let him play. Every time he is on the ground/gets near the ball they look such a better team as he either wins the contested footy or tackles.
Either the above or he's carrying an injury (which I highly doubt)

Quite staggered to see Steele was valued at 470k leading into this round, given he's averaging 88 that would have to be his price peak.  Would definitely consider a Steele to Martin trade if I had him, that's a 17 point improvement. A Steele to Yeo trade would be a 19 point improvement for only 50k.

If we had unlimited trades then yes, but prior to this weeks worst score of the year he was averaging 92 which is great for F6

I like most are clearly holding him, and once I bring in Gawn later I'll be able to loop Steele and he could be M9/F7 too

5 of the next 6 at Etihad. As has already been discussed we all rate him and if he can get more TOG than 90+ week in week out is a near formality

I wouldn't be waiting around for Gawn, a good upgrade target but you would have to bring him in round 15 as a best case scenario. Steele's output versus Greenwood wouldn't be poles apart, similar types and both have DPP. Steele to Martin is a great trade and will cost you peanuts.

Personally, I'm not trading Steele at all. Haven't even entertained the thought

I'll be upgrading SPP to a prem soon, and Steele stays

Alright, so Steele being dropped has come as a surprise

Do we trade and move on? Or do we think it's just one week back in the ressies?
