Getting in early. In round 10, many of us will bring in one or both of Pittard/Harbrow. The poll and discussion should be interesting.

Probably prefer Pittard, Harbrow been great so far this year, but his scoring history suggests he may come back to the pack as the season progresses.

Bluesalltheway

Pittard 1/5 games over 100 vs. Harbrow 5/6. I guess it just really depends on whether Harbrow can maintain it or not but on form it's Harbrow

Money Shot

Looking at the stats this year it has to be Harbrow ...

However previous years suggest that Pittard is the better scorer.

I personally will be going Harbrow as he seems to be playing a slightly different role this season.

Yeah, I like Pittard. He is still averaging a tick over 96 in DT, which is huge for him as he's usually been better suited to SC. Was getting a bit more uncontested ball early on and not using it as well, but on the weekend got a bit more contested ball and used it much better (which is a bit odd aha). I'd expect him to continue with this sort of DE (80%ish or higher), which should see his SC scores stay in that 90-110 region, as opposed to the 70-75% DE he was going at in his first few games that was keeping his scores down.

70-75% DE isn't bad at all, and 80% wouldn't see him score much more.

Otten > Pittard for like $90k seems too easy.

It's bad for Pittard ;)

And that 80% is an extra 2 or so effective disposals a game, which can be an extra 5-10ppg, which adds up.

Harbrow been amazing but i don't know if he can keep it up for long enough. Hopefully he does for my BXVs team though haha

Bringing in Harbrow looks a massive chance for me next week!

Marchbank to Harbrow for me next week. Should be under 100k difference. Otten to Docherty in round 12

My plan exactly. Hoping Otten doesn't leak too much more coin but Newman is always a good backup.

+ 1 for me as well- Holding Otten for bye coverage now that he has returned to forwards.

How long will Jenkins be out for though? He is best 22 and this might just be a freshener from the injury.

Pittard love confuses me.  The scoring has never been there?!?!  So many good options in the backline this year.

Harbrow has at least shown signs of being a top 6 defender.

He averaged 91 last year with 19/22 scores above 75 and 14 scores above 90.

He's improved his DT numbers and whilst they aren't translating to SC points yet due to lower efficiency it's showing that he's getting more of the pill which is what I would expect naturally.

If he can clean up his ball use and get his contested numbers back to what they were last year I don't see how a 95 avg is out of the question. Considering also that he will play every bye round so that 95 over 14 games means you need a bloke to avg over 100 for him to be worth it over Pittard. And to further my reasoning, Harbrow has never averaged above 83 whilst playing at GC. What's to say he will all of a sudden become a top 6 premo? 6 good games? I doubt it.
