If it was NRoo I would have questioned it a bit more. Perfect reaction from Geary as well. I have no issue with either.

Yeah just a bit of a scuffle after some choice words, I feel as though it was blown out of proportion due to the large number of players around the ball at the time, so everyone gets involved and when there's 30 blokes tackling each other it seems like a Jonas on Gaff incident.

I like a bit of sledging but do it to their face. don't wait till they've been smashed and they're lying on the ground in pain to come over and give it to him.  that's weak I reckon

obviously I don't know what Carlisle said to Murphy though so it's hard to know if he crossed the line. have read it was something about his missus or something. I dunno

I've heard that it was something to do with Murph's missus.

Apparently Sam Gilbert has slept with her before Murph or some shower, pretty low to include that in sledging imo but what happens on the field stays on the field.

At least Marc can take solace in the fact he's a 100000x better player than those two combined haha

Carlisle is a flog, from the more that comes out about it if I was Murphy I would have done a lot worse then give him a spray.

I feel bad for Murphy. He's basically put out a statement he wants to move on and you have people in the media wanting to dredge it up again and again.

yeah, the old adage "be the bigger man" and all. Murphy sledged Carlisle, he was the wrong man to sledge cos he had ammo, Murphy took offence. not denying the fact that what Carlisle said was wrong, but Murphy's not exactly innocent. Carlisle took it to a new level. go big or go home :P

The way I see it.

Murphy called Carlisle a coke-head. Fair call really, Carlisle was dumb enough to do lines and put it on a public domain.

Carlisle (and others) make derogatory comments about Murphy's wife, including that a player has slept with her.

Imo thats over the line, and really poor judgement (though we probably shouldn't be using St Kilda players as a measurement for good judgement :P)

The media have flogged the shower out of this and are only making it worse. I hope for Murphy's sake this can all blow over by the weekend.
