Beams is a keeper. Happy to carry him. His scores are down on what I was expecting thus far but I believe he's too good for that to continue and if he is only out 2-3 weeks I have SPP, Fisher and Balic to cover.
Fisher is out this week as well :P
That got under my guard.
Made me rethink things as I would've had SPP and Balic at M7&8 with Beams, Fisher and Barrett on the bench and not providing cover.
Beams to Dusty is what I'll probably do.
Dusty has lost 90k in the last 3 weeks courtesy of a Robinson tag and a couple of scores in the 90s.
A bargain at $538k, especially considering his ownership jumped 6% the week he cost $628k to bring in.
Helps my bye set up too. Danger is my only R12 bye mid atm.

My concern (as earlier stated) is that their bye is round 9. If he's not 100% they don't risk playing him week 8 before their bye and all of a sudden he's out for 4 in a row.
Brisbane Bye is R11... but if you are referring to SPP then yeah it's another player out R9 which isn't ideal.

Like the martin trade,  r12 bye as well.   also buy low sell high.   Sloane has gone up already

Is it better to bring in Martin over Selwood for Beams if its just money we are talking about here?  :-\

Selwood yet to have his annual 3game down streak.   Dusty has always been up and down and can frustrate the pants off you if you need him to win a league game.     Overall Selwood more reliable and not much different in eoy averages.

Cheers mate.

I can afford anyone by going Hampton > Parsons via Adams DPP and Beams > whoever.

Could even bring in Docherty if I wanted to but bringing in a super premo mid is probably the wiser move right?  ;)

As Parfitt is stuck on mid bench and have cover thinking of Hampton to McNiece and Beams to Rocky/Sloane. Earlier than expected but think needs to be done.

Rockys breakeven is over 200.

You are better off getting Selwood instead and picking up Rocky in a few weeks.  ;)

So the popular opinion is obviously to get rid of Beams? What if it is only 2 weeks?

Have a feeling it will be longer than 2 weeks mate.

People go on about Higgins being made of glass.

I reckon Beams is made out of paper mache or spaghetti.  :P

It is the reassess that is scaring a lot of us. Quad injuries are notoriously longer than 2 weeks. Beams missed a fair chunk of the Season at Pies with it before and Sauce Merrett 2 weeks turned into 8.

Thinking outside the square here and contemplating trading Beams to Josh Kelly.
Instead of getting someone close to 600k or more, Kelly is only 500k. I can afford a 600k player BTW, but trying to look at different options.
Question I have would be is Kelly someone we see as a premium mid (potential top 10) come end of the year?
What do people think?

Bad trade IMO.

Kelly wont get anywhere near top 10 mids IMO.
