Sitting a healthy 217th overall, but I have the obvious concerns that everyone has, WHE, Swallow, as well as Taranto, Barrett, Newman and Eddy not getting games.

Balic maybe to come in for either WHE or Swallow, but still not 100% sure yet. Ideally I'd like more cash from both of them, but it might not happen. Still, I might sit this round with the hope that both reach their B/E.

This is where SC starts turning into a headache
if you're 217th, your worries are very limited haha.

Can't see much more cash from WHE to be honest. Downgrading to Balic and upgrading Swallow to a mid premium seems a logical choice.

Thinking WHE and Swallow to Balic and Fisher, will have to play one of SPP, Fisher, Balic or Parfitt on the ground for a week though. Thoughts? Next week thinking Stewart to Hibberd and Parfitt/SPP to Black.

There are so many options in the next few weeks you really need some carefully planning especially leading into the byes.

I'm kinda hoping Balic doesn't play for another two/three weeks so I can pick up Fisher and Buddy this week or go on Black/McNeice a week early. Risky I know but risks need to be taken if you are going for overall. If Balic plays will have to decide whether to grab him and Fisher or him and Buddy.

My initial thoughts are to trade Swallow and Roughy/JOM if he doesn't play again to Fisher and Buddy. Then next week go Black and McNeice/Melican/EVW depending on who is the better out of the three. Not really sold on Hibberd just yet as I don't know if can maintain this for the long run. But certainly worth a look and if I decide to get him I'll need to rethink future trades.

Or grab Black if he did well against the Pies a week early and upgrade SPP to Pendles who should be around $560k which is a bargain. Or do two downgrades next week Black or even Parsons and defence rookies mentioned before. Then in two weeks it will be two upgrades to Pendles and Buddy/JJK or Docherty.

First upgrades!

Taranto and WHE to Fisher and Macrae this week.

Then Black/Parsons next week for Bowes/SPP giving me roughly 600-620k to pick a mid upgrade for Swallow the following.. thats the plan anyway  ::)

Money Shot

Taranto and Parfitt out Balic and 650k mid in.

I'm thinking Oliver as he is looking really good and consistent but is that a bad trade?

Also Sloane, Pendles, Bont, JPK over Oliver. Not worth the risk now he is already going up in price. Chances are he wont maintain this form year round, whereas the others all should.

Everyone has worries mate, even the people at the very top :)

I've come from ~10,000ish mid year to finish even higher than my current ranking once before. Having a nice starting team helps, but what everyone does from here on out decides their fate.

Absolutely. Money well spent!! JPK also worth considering. Pendles if you dont have him but in 2/3 weeks.

Okay you've talked me out of Oliver as he is likely to drop off as he is only a second year player.

What are people's thoughts on Heppell?

If you are looking at SC mids on the cheap I reckon Parker & Cripps are worth considering.

Decided to go with Hanners. He is proven has played well enough in his last 3.

Carlton
North
Brisbane

Are three winnable games I think now is the time to get on him.
