Hi all

Second time playing AFL Supercoach, first time posting here, though I have been reading since last season.

Team is currently going alright, sitting 3,491 overall.

DEF: Docherty, Adams, Laird, Otten, Hampton, Newman | (Stewart, Hibberd)

MID: Danger, Rocky, Fyfe, Beams, Treloar, Steele, SPP, Swallow | (Parfitt, Taranto, Barrett)

FWD: Dahl, Macrae, Lynch, Roughy, WHE, Houston | (Hannan, Hayward)

Keen to get some suggestions as to where to go from here... My thinking is to trade Taranto for a premo DEF (moving Hibberd to mids) as I can afford any defender with the $290k I have in the bank. Not sure which premo to go if I do go down that path - Montagna seems like the smartest play but JJ and LLoyd interest me as well.

All advice welcome!

I think your midfield is a tad weak. If you wanted to move on Roughy why not bring in Pendles and swing Steele forward.

Then look to bring Shaw in next week into your defense who already is sub 500k and has a 124 BE. Shaw should be a top 6-8 defender come seasons end.

You don't think my DEF is weaker?

3 premos and 3 rookies are basically what everyone is rolling with in defense (I am)

But most are rolling with 6/7 keepers (if you include Beams, Marc Murphy) in the mids and you only have 5 keeper mids.

Cheers for the tips.. actually think I will make a move along those lines as I also can't decide which premo DEF i would bring in if I was going to go down my original path, whereas I know that I want pendles, Bont and Sloane in the mids. Sloane a bit too pricey right now, so will probably trade roughy, move Steele forward and bring in pendles or Bont, brining in Williamson down back for taranto

I like those moves.

Ended up bringing in (and playing) Williamson for Taranto and pendles in for roughy, moving hibberd to mids. Scored 2,241 and now inside top 3,000.

Thinking swallow and WHE out for Selwood and balic this week

Had my worst week yet thanks to poor scores from basically all of my premo mods so I dropped about 3,000 places..

I'm really tempted to move nank forward this week and bring in stef, dropping otten and parfitt, with black also coming in.. avoids a ruck donut, and stef should be a hold till the end. Thoughts?

Ringo

Not alone with poor performing premo mids.

Sound moves to avoid the ruck donut.  Stef is one of the better performing rucks although down last week. Not sure who you other ruck is but just make sure not Rd 11 bye.   If he does look at Jacobs or Mummy as they are also performing well.

Santi is my other ruck so no bye issues brining in stef..

Downside to this is that I'll be playing 3 rooks up forward, and 3 down back while SPP sits on the bench in mids..

Other move could be to bring in a premo defender for otten?

19 trades left - 2 of those will likely be used this week as I'm thinking of getting rid of Otten and Hampton. Leaning towards Zak Jones as a DEF premo, with McNiece likely the other pickup.
