Was a late out in Round 1 with an ankle injury (given to the last minute to prove himself fit) and missed most of 2015 and all of 2016 with persistent knee issues.

Before his knee issues, he had a breakout year in 2014  and averaged 103 that season.

In his 2 games this year, he scored 88 in a heavy loss to league powerhouse GWS and managed a 117 in a big win over the Hawks. It should be noted Swallow reportedly sat out much of the final term against the Hawks getting his hamstrings massaged, but eventually returned to the field.

Could be a great alternative for those stuck with O'Meara and/or those fielding a rookie at M8. Is he worth the risk?

He will score ok and score more than a rookie but don't think his body will hold up you would be hoping he would last till his bye then unload

Fid

My only concern is that right hamstring soreness he had late in the last quarter

He came back on though, if the doctors thought it was an issue, he would've sat the rest of the game out considering the score at the time as well.

I'm not writing him off, I'll keep him as long as he stays good, I'm just saying that my plan when I got him was hoping he could do well (~80) until his bye then flick him. If he keeps going at 100+ then I'll probably hang on to him even when we hit round 9. But judging off past history I'm not going to count him as a season keeper.

Good point. Are we overplaying this hamstring issue perhaps?

Just how many times do we see players getting Hammies massaged on the sidelines with little fuss but when it is an injury prone player fuss is made?.
Thinking O'Meara to Swallow after seeing Swallow with a B/E of -42 and a projected price rise of 58 with an 86 score,. Will surpass O'Meara and continue to make cash while healthy. Plenty of Upside.

Was confident Eade said it was just a corkie in his post match presser so went back and checked. At 1:42 mins into his presser he says it was a corkie so they just sat him at full fwd for the remainder.  :D

Held him from round one hoping he would only miss a week and come out scoring like he has. Didn't want to use a trade bringing him in so fingers crossed his body will hold up until the round 9 bye

Swallows numbers if he averages 103 from here.
160K cash and assume 30 pts per round more than rookie.  (150+)   It is only logical.  (imagine Spock's voice)
In fact more cash than if Newman averages 70 pts a game and swallow 100 a game.    Both about the same probability of happening.

Depends what other issues you have atm. I wouldn't say that he absolutely has to go now, but it's fairly borderline and another average game this week would just about seal it I would think
