I think Newman is a definite start and Stewart a definite bench. Marchbank should also go well against GC so to me it comes down to Otten v Hampton.

Dependant on Jenkins

Same decision I'm going to have to make... except I have McGrath rather than Stewart.
Will likely be fielding: Marchbank, Newman and Otten with McGrath and Hampton on the pine.

Yeah, and also McGovern. If Jenkins is in and McGovern out, Otten's role may remain similar.

Stewart - trash
Hampton - Inside Mid
Otten - Ruc/Fwd
Newman - Rebound back
Marchbank - Key/Rebound back

Hampton/Otten/Newman at this stage.

I really dont want to bench Marchbank, but i see him as the worst of the 4.

Any chance stewart gets dropped?
would be a handy loophole

Maybe, if Geelong want to give up on their Harry Taylor up forward experiment.

Marchbank will score well. It was pouring down with rain last week against Bombers which made it harder for him to score, so unless it's raining again, he is a lock for me.

So

Newman - Playing away vs WCE on Thursday. Likely to be lock for a 60-70, possible 80+. Great loophole option if you can hold Hibberd for Thursday.

Marchbank - VS GC. Only had 2 contested possessions LW. High Kick to Handball ratio, but was zoning off his player. His role didn't suit the wet weather as the ball was banged long or along the ground a lot rather than taking the rebounding option. If Dry id say he is good for a 75+, wet id consider benching.

Otten - Vs Essendon. Will likely play forward with McGovern out and Jenkins back. There are questions on his scoring ability if he is not taking some of the ruck duties with Jenkins back in. He also might play back if someone like Milera/Menzel some in. Potential to score high, but also low, would be a risk to play him and a risk to not play him.

Hampton - Vs Essendon. Has shown glimpses of ability and has really strong tackle numbers which give him the base score, but he is let down slightly by his DE & TOG (72% 73% & 65%). Looks like a solid 60, but needs more TOG & to become better with the ball to push consistently into the 80s.

Stewart - Vs Hawks. Went at 20% with 5 clangers from his 10 possessions which has studded his growth. Don't be surprised to see him dropped this week. 50-60 should be what he scores most of the time, the 22 was an aberration. Definite for the bench as he doesn't appear to have the ceiling of the others. an average of 50 will only net 80k more, the loophole looks more beneficial for me.

Deliberation
Marchbank - Locked on Field
Newman - Loophole on bench (Will take anything over 70 I think)
Stewart - Im trading out for Newman
Otten & Hampton - Will play both if Newman under 70, If over I will determine which one I want depending on my opponents choices.

If overall id take Otten over Hampton. Risk vs Reward.

I go for both League & Overall and I see the two as fairly similar outputs so the league is the deciding factor for me.

Playing at Eithad this week so rain shouldn't affect him ;)

Ringo

Stewart a definite bench
Marchbank and Otten definite on field and a coin toss between Hampton and Newman. No loophole available in defence

Judd Magic

My backline this week is - Shaw, Laird, Marchbank, Otten, Hampton, Newman (Stewart, Hibberd)

Adams is at M8 at the moment.
