Played 20 and 21 games before last season. He's probably top 3-4 of scoring average easily too. Best 420k ive spent this year and was only in 4% of teams. Bargain hunters. How you lot could say no to his numbers in the JLT is beyond me. Worth the injury risk. Can happen to anyone

Best post of the thread.

More of a risk NOT having him IMO. You could fall far behind the pack if he continues putting up midfield numbers and your stuck with Roughy instead for example.

One season of over 20 games out of 11 seasons

Oh and 2 at 20

But Sam Mitchell as an example 6 and 3 = 9

Vs Miss H 1 and 2 = 3

If this is his year well done

Buddy has a similarly poor record so do people automatically put a red line through his name? Could say the same thing about Rocky & Adams. If Higgins delivers another repeat of 2014 & 2015 it will be perfectly acceptable.

Not directed at anyone personally but people are all full of shower when it games to game count.
If all your premos play 22 good fing on ya but fat chance, it's about selecting risks for points gained/value.

People take Fyfe,Rocky,Adams,Sandi,Beams,Murphy will these guys all play 22 games? Rubbish.

whos to say Fyfe in a terrible Freo outfit doesn't just keep churning out premo numbers (110-115) without all those past huge captain scores? Without the VC option or a 120+ average does Fyfes annual 18 games per year make him a good pick?

It's about choosing your risks and not taking to many all over the field.

Wish id kept Higgins before R1. if he goes down for longer than 3 just trade, probably worth 500-550k by then anyway IF it happens.

As stated above, the average games for Higgins is like 13.7, buddy hasnt played less than 13 games in a season...

History from like 7 years ago means nothing and skews the stats.

Higgins has proven himself capable of playing 20+ games in a season - recently, that's enough for me. If he sustains another season ending injury then so be it, his form indicates that he's easily tradeable to the next best forward.

Samm79

Bringing him in, correction trades. Ramsay and McCathy to Otten and Higgins. He should generate cash over the next few weeks (unless a hammy goes twang), at best he's a keeper. Alternatives are WHE, but don't trust his scoring. Think he'll be closer to 50 than 100 against the swans tonight.

Ask yourself if you're willing to trade him out in a few rounds? Is his price rise going to be worth 2 trades?

Yep and Yep.
That might be when Hanners is ripe for the picking. ;)
Everyone knows the risk but how would people feel about playing an opponent with him... "Hope Higgins doesn't go 120+"
Risk v Reward... similar to Adams...and that one is paying off well so far.
There's risk not picking him... the longer into the season he plays the bigger the pay off. The first pay day is today. I'm strongly considering ditching Roughead... I've still got 27 trades.
