Haha I'm still not certain either. I really want to get a timeframe on him though. Heard it was gonna be just 1-2 weeks somewhere (can't remember where), and would wanna hold if true. I would have thought at least 3 though myself.

If he has a break and a punctured lung I think he has to go. They said he might play next week but will need to prove fitness. I think we found out with Rocky's ribs just how a break can hurt someone on the football field. I might look to bring him back after his bye.

To be honest, the one type of ruck that Sandi has traditionally struggled against is like Paddy Ryder. Ryder has been one of the only guys with the athleticism to jump over him and nullify him in the hit out game. Nic Nat has caused similar problems and there was a game a couple of years ago where Ryder beat him doing exactly this.

After the comments on Ryder & his rucking abilities during and after the game round one as a South Aussie I should of seen it coming, only myself to blame Mat haha. Did honestly look at benching him for Pruess last week didnt have the "cahoonas" to do it though

Looking at the bulldogs with no "real" ruck brings a lot of confidence, I think I may of made the trade without some advice but definantly liking holding atm & thinking against Ryder was a tougher game. Backing in the big man Sat night

I'm definitely going Steven to Murphy, even if he's only out for a week.  Jack is a gun but his scores have been well below par so far (I know it's only two rounds, and one was injury effected).  Going to Murphy gives me cash to play with and I think I'll go Hibberd to McGrath.  He looks to have good JS and scores really well for a rookie.

It gives me over $70k in the bank and with the team I have I'll sit for a week or two and let those rookies fatten up before making my first upgrade, which will likely be a forward upgrade as that is by far my weakest line.  I have been pretty lucky with my forward line so far, but I can't keep relying on WHE and scores of around 70 from Roughead to see me through.  I need to get in Macrae ASAP.

Steven to MMurphy
Hibberd to WHE

Just reading up on the Saints website...it says that Steven will be a test for their game next week against the Pies. Is there any chance he only misses the 1-2 games? Cause if so, I'd definitely prefer to keep him.

Locked in Simpkin to Houston atm with Simpkin out, and am left with a bit over 100k remaining. Also have Bowes, Taranto, Florent, Pickett, Parfitt, and Barrett. Tempted to drop one of those to Butler, and bench Steven for a week or two if this is the case. Will obviously lose points in the short term, but long term could work out as I'm fairly confident I'd want Steven back in my team when he comes back :P

Changed my mind on Sandi. I am holding for now and sticking to the original plan to upgrade him to a Goldy/Gawn later in the season.

I will be passing on WHE and not trading this week.

I hate the idea of trading hibberd to someone aka just burning a trade
at least with Taranto to a cheap kid - I get cash back even if its a correction
GHS out is annoying quite tempting to trade tbh

do I get Houston and butler or just be happy with one and then get newman possibly next week

Need more trades. Pick two:

1. Viney (proj. -$30.7k) to Murphy (proj. +$59.4k) - would be $90k more expensive a trade next week
2. Roughead (+15.7) to WHE (+72.7) - +57
3. Mountford (0) to Butler (+62.0) - +62

Rookies need to be perfected this week so I feel like I can't miss WHE or Butler. But holding Viney will kill me. Missing Murphy hurts too but less so if he's not a top 8 mid (Danger, Rockliff, Treloar, Merrett, T.Mitchell are locks, Murphy competing with Gaff, Heppell, Martin, Pendles, Fyfe for those other 3 spots).

Otherwise, I can do these two:
1. Roughead to WHE - +57
2. Viney to Butler - +93

Then use a boatload of cash ($654,900) next week for some juicy upgrades before holding trades for a bit. Would mean I play SPP this week instead of a premium but, otherwise, structure stays the same. And SPP has been almost as good as Viney anyway :(

Thoughts?

I'll hate myself if I trade Viney and then he pulls his finger out but he looks poor right now.

GHS to Butler or Houston. Houston should score better but Butler has better JS. Up to you which one you take.

If you wanna trade Taranto as well, then just get the other one of those guys, or go for WHE if you don't have him. Otherwise, wait a week and trade Hibberd to Newman.

Gotta back in Viney imo. I'd get rid of Mountford for Butler 100%. If you don't think Roughy will be a keeper or make enough cash, then dropping him for WHE is probably a good idea. Otherwise I reckon I'd just keep that 2nd trade up your sleeve :)

I can also do these options:
Viney & Mountford to WHE & Butler
or
Viney & Mountford to Murphy & WHE

But yeah, maybe I just have to back in Viney... I don't think Roughy will be a keeper at all and he doesn't look like he'll make as much cash as we thought he would. It's just that this week against GC, he could go big (but WHE will still make way more cash).

GoLions

Haha yeah, he could go big this week. Could also score average though, and after the first couple of rounds he could continue with 70s after that.

Chelskiman

Were we really expecting Roughy to be scoring 90-100 though?  I think he's going fine and I'm expecting a good score from him this week (85+) considering he's playing GC.  Definitely not a keeper, but he's good for 75 points a week until he tops out and then I'll trade him to a fallen premium.

Yeh that's my plan too mate. Not at a keeper but hopefully puts up some decent scores and makes some cash before a sideways to a fallen premo

I don't think we expected 90+ but I definitely expected 80+. I just think he'll make cash way too slowly and one down week undoes all his work.
