Royals Rally to Expose Saints' Sins

Well! I didn't see this one coming! Luke Shuey, take a bow, and Fantasia & Jong too. Great win Royals, you've dodged my scorn for at least 1 week. The Saints though would be looking squarely at 13 point Blakely and Captain Gibbs for this loss, and the rest of the team did OK really.

Seoul's Demons haunt Dillos

All time high scores from Clayton Oliver & Chris Salem coupled with the brilliance of Danger, Kelly & Greene would spell trouble for any team. The Dillos simply need more centuries past Ed Curnow.

New Delhi Enact Brutal Revenge on Jaguars

Although Round 2... this would have felt good for the Tigers. Holy balls though, our first 160 of the year! Robbie Gray's amazing performance catapults New Delhi as highest score of the round, whilst there wasn't much the Jaguars could do, except be concerned about the potential end of the dominant days of GAJ.

Rio de Janeiro Jaguars (22.7.139) lost to New Delhi Tigers (25.10.160)

Best
Rio de Janeiro: Patrick Cripps, Brad Ebert, Sam Jacobs, Elliot Yeo, Matthew Wright

Islanders caught off-guard by Sandstorm

WOW! What an upset! The Sands have done it on HGA, and you could almost say Jeff Garlett's 4th quarter tackle won the game for both them and Melbourne. A very handy club debut from Jeffrey, coupled with Beams, Adams and a VERY solid forward line performance means Cairo took home the 4th highest score of the round, so the 5th highest score wasn't going to cut it for the Islanders. A very unlucky result for Pacific, whom would be having stern talks with Andrew Swallow.

Cairo Sands (23.10.148) def Pacific Islanders (23.7.145)

Best
Cairo: Dylan Roberton, Taylor Adams, Dayne Beams, Jeff Garlett
Pacific: Marcus Bontempelli, Tom Mitchell, Jarrod Witts, Jarryd Lyons, Sam Gibson

Midfield Thunderstorm blocks out Suns

If you include the captaincy bonuses and ruckman Brodie Grundy, Beijing's midfield combined for 750 points. Good, god. For two years in a row, Beijing have managed to claim the massive scalp of the Suns, whom couldn't have performed like this last week, I'm sure. Riewoldt's absence has already been felt.

Beijing Thunder (25.6.156) def Mexico City Suns (21.8.134)

Best
Beijing: Dayne Zorko, Lachie Neale, Callan Ward, Ollie Wines, Brodie Grundy
Mexico City: Trent Cotchin, Tom Rockliff, David Zaharakis

New York prevail against Samurai despite defeatist Coach

Didn't know that either

GG Tokyo, I guess

God I do want to introduce a rule where an early surrender means you forfeit the game :P

I still think you're clear favourites to win :P especially given Tokyo's OOP ruck scored just 13 more points than you, and their Captain had a poor game

Meanwhile, Tokyo would be kicking themselves that they couldn't get it done and would be blaming Luke Parker entirely for the loss.

New York Revolution (19.8.122) def Tokyo Samurai (19.6.120)

Reindeers fail to maintain Dublin pace

A better performance with PNL's midfield stepping up, but not nearly enough as Dublin decelerated towards the end of the game. Brayden Preuss had arguably the best WXV debut in Goldsteins absence

PNL Reindeers (21.9.135) lost to Dublin Destroyers (23.11.149)

Best
PNL: Matt Priddis, Zach Merrett, Dylan Shiel

Glad to see Docherty didn't lose it for us.  :P

Have to say though, we got lucky. 17th scoring side this week and we play 18th, however it's making up for our awful streak of bad luck.
