2018's first picked forward
Agreed,  not this year for me but welcome to Bombers Rule 2018 as F1.

only concern I would have is that he kicked 6.. he's not gonna kick bags to often so the forward role he's playing may be a bit of a roller coaster

The 30 touches is encouraging, limited pre-season player who will go ham post byes.

Groin soreness, in doubt.

Must be from kicking to many goals.

I heard that his Groin issue was the reason for his interrupted preseason, (only half a JLT match) and he has declared that he is now over the issue!! He also stated what was mentioned prior in this thread, that he has been spending more time forward than usual and was relishing the role. That doesn't instill the greatest confidence in me for the immediate future. Like Quinny mentioned, he isn't going to kick 6 each week, and if he doesn't get those 30 disposals, his scoring will inevitably suffer. Will wait and see how he goes in the next few weeks, failing that, I could always swap him to Ollie Wines? Think this might be the year he jumps up in to that elite bracket. Knows how to find the footy and is a contested beast. Just his disposal prior was a concern. Thoughts guys?"

Fwiw I would absolutely not go near Wines, can barely see him averaging more than 100, certainly over 105 I find very difficult to imagine. Gray isn't exactly someone I wish I had either, but if things go his way he averages 120, like he (almost) has before. Definitely on my radar and always sc relevant on account of his blue chip foot skills

I wouldn't trade to Wines either, but I think he's a decent chance of pushing a 105avg. Went 100+ in his 2nd year, and copped a few injuries in 2015, but without them was comfortably averaging over 100. Started this year insanely well, no reason why he can't go on to average 105+.

And when has Gray almost averaged 120? :P

I was guessing a bit there - called out! Haha. He averaged:

111 in 2014
110 in 2015
108 in 2016

Pretty elite but not 120  :-X

Won't touch him with a ten foot pole this season.

Pretty Simple. Flat Track Bully and has a pretty tasty draw coming up. Anyone jumping on at $453? Barrett only has about 30k left in him with Rocky coming back i reakon? Means i gain a player this week also?

BomberSam

I prefer Wines, but neither of them for me.

I've got bigger problems but I actually like the move. Literally looked like he was close to goalling every time the ball went near him against Geelong. Seriously class act, but with top tier mids doing so well and the likelihood that I'll have to keep Fyfe I think I can't do it myself. Like the idea though - can average high and massive ceiling
