Is Marchbank a must?

Just after people's opinions on this, as most teams (bar mine) seem to have him...

I don't think he's a "Must", it depends on what strategy you're going for in your back line. If you're going 3-5 (3 Prem, 5 Mid/Rookies) I think you can lay him and pick Hampton instead. 2-6 you probably need him. As always I'd wait till the teams come out this evening before I'd make the final choice

I hardly think a guy who will average 65 could ever be called a must. He should be good for a decent price rise but not having him won't be bothersome.

Well with Rowe and White in the team, he probably plays as a third defender. Can intercept and good user of the footy. Kicks more than handballs and loves the 1%'s. Should be good for 75 and that's being conservative. I see him pushing 80.

This is what it comes down to for me. Don't really want 4 premium defenders, so Marchbank, Hampton then cheaper rookies makes sense for me

It simply depends on your structure.
I don't have Marchbank because the Prems i have will score more than him, and the rookies will get teh same for less.
But If I have the $ to take hibberd to marchbank i would, but don't :)

Calf injuries are crap :( 1 week can turn into 3-4 very easily

What do you think Thurlow will average? I'm not keen on having any midpricers in defence so I've currently got 4 premos back there, I'm liking the look of it
