Anyone know who the woman is that was talking to Dusty at 3/4 time before he went to the huddle did not look like any medical staff and Dusty looked far from happy , the longer this contract stuff goes on I'm starting to think that he is doing a Buddy or Gaz and if he has then where do we stand if the Tiges match it and he still wants out ? then do the clubs have to agree on satisfactory trades or do we still get just a compensation pick ?

Social Media Staff.
Cheers wondered who she was and maybe that why he looked unimpressed surely that can wait till post game

Yeah she was annoying the flower out of them when they were practicing goal kicking an hour before the game. Like being 2m away from the players and shower when they go for set shots.

If the Tiges matched any offer, I believe the options are either:

- Dusty accepts the offer and stays
- The teams agree on a trade for Martin
- If a trade can't be made and Dusty still doesn't want to stay, he enters the pre-season draft

Cheers lets see what unfolds but this " no decision till season over " on past players usually means they are off

He never actually said that he's waiting till the season is over. He was waiting for the new payment agreements which are done now.
Would put money on it that he signs in the next month and if he doesn't I'll be worried

Herald Sun the other day Carr said decision will not be made till seasons end I hope you are right Q but if that is the case about not till seasons end then it has Buddy , Gaz , and Danger written all over it and if so the Tiges need to play extreme hard ball

The Dusty saga rolls on he's off to NZ with manager to speak to dad if you can believe whats said in the media and the old man was not happy with the Tiges after the last contract even though it was Carr that flowered that up , the Roo's have lifted there offer to 1.5 mil for 7 years don't know if the Tiges can or will match that and I'm sure the old man will tell him take the cash.

Dusty will have no future in footy coaching or media when he retires going by his personality so not so sure he will be in yellow and black next year and I'm kind of thinking that I don't want the club to pay that much for him as we will probably lose good young players in the future because of salary cap issues so I hope the club is looking at players like Kelly or Rocky or Hopper or others think I would be happier to hear we signed Rocky up for 700 or 800K than keep waiting and get no one.

It's a pretty simple equation. If he's signing it will be be before the finals. If he doesn't then he's as good as gone.

I want him to stay obviously but if he leaves at least we will go to the draft with 3 first round draft picks plus around 1.2 million that we didn't spend on him. Not all doom and gloom if he goes. I expect him to stay though.

On his dad, he knows what Richmond have done for him and allowing him to go visit him throughout the year.
He is from the rebels MC who consider the most important things in life to be loyalty and brotherhood so if it's based on his opinion I would imagine he says to stay loyal.

Dusty might not have a media career on the cards but AFL players have many more ways than that to make money. Brandon Ellis owns a watch company that makes him more money than his AFL contract. Plenty of opportunities to buy into real estate, clothing lines, resteraunts and bars etc.

Nige

I'm still fairly confident Dusty will stay.

He'll probably go visit his old man during the week off which has been happening for a while.

North have got a slightly bigger offer on the table and I don't think the difference in the offers will be enough to make him jump ship.

Pretty sure he's very comfortable with us and all the club has done for him, I really don't see much of a reason for him to leave.

Dusty's got his own clothing line, got some pretty cool tees!

Haha shower! I have two Uncle Jack watches, and no idea Brandon Ellis co-owned the company!

Norf 1.5 Tiges 1.2 or so reported that's 2.1 million dollars over the contract .... slightly bigger offer wow you must be well off did not realize we had a tycoon on FF  :P

Jroo

Who comes out of our side? Caddy has to come back in, but surely Townsend has to stay now. I'd rather Short in over Broad/Oleg too

Oleg, Graham, Castagna, Broad, Townsend the ones under pressure

Townsend can't possibly be omitted after 11 goals in 2 games, he's our best forward right now and it almost makes you wonder why/how he didn't play earlier. He takes pressure off Jack too which is good.

Graham's been fantastic, but Caddy does have the experience and can play through the middle (I think he's better as a mid anyway).

I agree re: Broad/Oleg and bringing Short back. Personally I thought Broad was the worse of the two.

Miles is still in ripper form but there's just no spot for him.

I really hope we don't rush or even bring Conca/Griffiths in tbh.

Team structure looks good right now, don't mess with it. Plus last time we did something like that, it didn't end so well.

Jroo

Yeah completely agree, really don't want to be changing our structure going into the finals

Nige

A lot of people from the outside looking in seem to reckon we're a bit crazy going in with Nank as ruck and having nobody to pinch hit, but it's also part of the reason we're doing as well as we are. It's his value around the ground and the ability to play someone who'll have more impact than Soldo or Elton... or even Griffiths really.

LaHug

I agree that Nank solo is the best call.

Out: Graham
In: Caddy

Not sure we need to make any other changes tbh... If we bring Short back, it might have to be for Markov because of size, but I'm not sure we need to make that change.
