He'll average 20-25 more than spud entry level small fowards and potentially could pull a big score which they won't. Worth it I think.

I think you need Taranto at M8 and Hoskin-Elliot at F6.

I have Powell Pepper at M9 so he can always go to M8 and Taranto can go to F6 via Pickett (F8) if Nankavis (F3) has to fill in for either Sandilands and Witts.  8)

I really want to do this, but can't find the cash to upgrade to Taranto. Treloar >Titchell and O'meara>Swallow my only option, but not sure it's worth it, just for rookie cover?

Only way you can do that is going very mid price and risky for the rest of your team, with IMO is not worth it.
If anyone was able to put together a side with Taranto at M8 & WHE at F6 that didn't involve huge risk id be all over it.

I have WHE F5, Taranto F6, SPP M8.
Even with this I have to run Sandi & Witts & only 3 def prems. There is no way to do it without taking huge risks. (I class all MP options as huge risks)

I'm just trying to work out where Taranto fits amongst the other forward rookies around that price range.

WHE, McCarthy, Bowes, Florent, Turner...

Taranta perhaps has the best scoring potential out of this list, but JS might be a little shaky still?

Mines similar, with Lloyd D3, SPP M8 and WHE at F6. Only $2800 in the bank and weak cover though, which scares the shower out of me if I have to make correctional changes.

Only huge risk I have is Sandi and Witts in the ruck but I have Nank in the forwards who can swing to the ruck.  8)

I'm thinking of McCarthy oberTaranto purely from a JS view

big call, decent rookie will avg 60-65, so you think he'll avg 80-90??

McCarthy is taking over from Pav, he'll play every game and while KPP's have highs and lows, he'll have better JS than any Rookie FWD

I've heard some say he should have gone no.1. I think he's ready made, could be another Selwood, just come in r1 at 18 and play all year and not miss a beat, but even so, that team might be hard to hold your place in. He could do 80. Spud fwd could also mean Pickett. He won't even average. 50.

Torpedo10

I'm a huge fan but just cannot fit him in without downgrading one of my midpricers and that's just an apple for an apple.

Selwood averaged 77 in his first year, I reckon that would be the absolute ceiling for Taranto.

tor01doc

Taranto 75 plus 75 plus 75 = 225

Butler 225 - 96 = 129

129/2 = 65

So Butler scores 65 over the next 2 weeks and his price rises a heap.

Taranto scores 75's - no guarantee - and he is over $200K to start.

Not sure.
