Nice saver for me at the end there, Shuey was paying $26 for 3 votes in that final round!  :o

jvalles69

Some of those top 5, top 10 top 20 markets would've paid well.  Oh well, I prob will break even after all the bets are calculated, back to the drawing board next year.  Think I might've made most of my winnings on single game 3 vote getters.

Capper

Well done Dusty.

Very happy with 3 Swans in the top 11.

team multis were tough this year anyone nail any good ones

My mates and I chucked in 50 each and hit quite a few. Macrae getting 2 votes in rd23 got us over the line in a few.

One monster 8-leg multi we missed by 1 leg (treloar) which sucked. Would have paid 1500 from 25. Other legs were Wines, Beams, Fyfe, JPK, Rance (no cotch/dusty) Gibbs and Ward (drew with Shiel)

All up we got about 750 back for our 150

Ricochet

how about Danger getting 0 votes in RD22 lol

I really couldn't believe it. Maybe Gill got in the ear of the umps?

He probably didn't deserve 3 though, so it technically didn't make a difference.

Who actually has the final say on the mark and goal of the year? The goals were hard to split but Daniher beating Howe for mark of the year was the biggest joke since Krakouer beating Walker for it back in 2011

One of many awkward moments for the night. The crowd didn't like it at all! Right up there with the captioned tiger mascot scene... Wow!

The public voted for GOTY and MOTY this year,  not a good move becomes a popularity contest.

Yeah that's just stupid. A GWS player could take the greatest mark of all time and wouldn't have a hope of ever winning with no supporters backing them up

RaisyDaisy

Yeah Joe D winning was ridiculous, and the look on Howes face was priceless

I had Beams, Gibbs, Sloane and Buddy in a multi so that was a little harsh missing out on Buddy by 1 vote lol

Fyfe polls very well considering the year he had and I didn't think Wines would go as high so he's one to keep in mind moving forward too

Torpedo10

Both Joe & Howe got up to a similar height, Joe took it in his hands and Howe in his chest. Seems fair enough.

From brief look...

Max Gawn to poll a vote @ 2.25 - he polled 3
Geelong most team votes @ 9.00 (dont think it happens but it seems overs) - finished on 80 behind Swans and Crows tied on 88
Sloane top 5 finish @ 2.40 - finished 6th by a vote, I would have been so pissed haha
Sloane top 10 finish @ 1.25 (using it as a multi builder) - won, outrage if it didn't.
Callan Ward top 20 finish @ 3.50 - fell 3 votes short of a top 20 finish
Mitch Duncan top 20 finish @ 11.00 - yuck
Nat Fyfe top 20 finish @ 2.00 - wish I did back this, finished =12th
Dusty/Mitchell exacta @ 2.05 - win
Dusty/Mitchell/Kelly trifecta @ 4.50 - loss
Dusty/Mitchell/Kelly/Sloane boxed pick 4 @ 3.75 - loss
R.Sloane leader after round 5 @ 2.50 - win

Now some H2Hs (obv these would be multi'd)

Mitchell to beat Kelly @ 1.55 - won by 4 votes
R.Gray to beat M.Murphy @ 1.55 - won by 3 votes
C.Wingard to beat C.Dixon @ 1.55 - lost by 4 votes
N.Jones to beat J.Viney @ 1.87 - lost by 2 votes

Brownlow Medal Vote record to be broken (ie 36 votes or more) - YES @ 1.60 - got there bang on 36

JPK to win Captains Group (Jelwood, Beams, Murphy, Cotch, C.Ward, Fyfe, Pendles, Heppell, Viney) @ 1.80
Priddis to win Retirees Group (Montagna, Watson, Hodge, Kelly, Boyd, Petrie) @ 3.00 - J.Kelly wins it with 4 ahead of Priddis and Montagna on 3
Heeney to win Young Guns Group (Sicily, Orazio, P.Cripps, DeGoey, Tracca, Burton, Sheed, Steele, Daniel, Lever) - Heeney finishes with 4, beaten by ORRRAAAAAZZZIO on 7 votes :o

Now the Teams

Zorko @ 2.00
Fyfe @ 1.42
Ward @ 1.75 (without Kelly) - drew with Shiel
Higgins @ 2.90 (?)
R.Gray @ 2.10
JPK @ 1.90
Yeo @ 8.00 (??)

Few smokies thrown around there! Will prob only get on 20% of these buy hey, whats the harm in having a look!

Now I didn't end up placing any of these (actually didnt bet on the brownlow at all this year) but I thought I would go back and have a look just for interests sake!

Assuming I put $10 on everything...

$260 outlay

$216.20 return

Would have been down $43.80... Of course there would have been varying amounts on each bet depending on my confidence/arrogance and there would have been multis in there too.

Lets just say I'm glad I went out instead of staying in on the punt hahaha
