I've seen more articles about Simmo and WCE in general this week, than I have all year and I for one am very happy to see this

It's about time the torch was put on us, and it's time to see change

One thing I noticed was:

Simpson said second-year midfielder Luke Partington wasn't far off a debut but was wary of external expectations being too high on the ball-magnet who is still working on his deficiencies.

Also saw that if Lycett doesn't play this week, then he will be iced for the rest of the year

Simmo, Lecca and others finally under the microscope - something that's been needed

Let's see how this all plays out

FINALLY!

Partington named on the wing

Brisbane at home, he had to get a run this week and I look forward to seeing how he goes

Party Time <3

Brisbane bringing over a very young/inexperienced team. If we are remotely serious about making finals we need to be winning this by 10+ goals.

I would much rather see more kids get a run than us make finals, probably won't get either :P

Sammy is officially retiring at the end of this season and will take his coaching role on next year for us.
I'm really looking forward to what more he can bring to us

And yay Partington finally.
The excuse of him still having some deficienies in his game is fine but atm all the players have something they need to work on anyway and I hope he gets in there on the weekend and gives it a real crack

Just saw a tweet that Priddis is retiring too  :'(

meow meow

Could tell it was coming by Simmo's comments the other day.

What do think Pridda and Mitch were on this year?

Does it give us a bit of salary cap space to play with?

LF

Well it's been all over the radio that Sammy is retiring but now they think the info is possibly wrong and it was indeed Priddis

Priddis has retired. Mitchell is expected to announce his retirement soon, according to HS

Sammy would have been on some decent coin on his 1 year contract but I doubt Priddis was on heaps

LF

Vardy out this week so Petrie is rucking and I guess Gov might do a bit as well

Sheed was fantastic, Partington a great debut game. Good to see some of the next generation coming through and playing well.

Almost too keen for this post-season list cleanout :P

Oh it's going to be fantastic!  Butler, Wellingham, LaCras, Masten, Hill, possibly Cripps?  E-Mac? Schofield?

And hopefully the clear out will help us bring over guys like Mitch McGovern and Matera, rather have these 2 guys crumbing rather than LeCras, Hill and Cripps.

West Coast has called a media conference for 10am (12PM AEST) where it is expected Sam Mitchell will be announcing his retirement at the end of the season

And confirmed, be good to have him around the coaching traps for years to come :)
