British XV Round 1 Lodgement and Banter

As per voting results teams required to be lodged in this thread,

There will be partial lock out with Carlton and Richmond Players locked at bounce on Thursday night with balance of team locked at bounce of Collingwood and Western Bulldogs game. Note UF will be locked on Thursday Night so it is important to lodge team here so adjustments can be made.

No loopholing is allowed and Captains and Vice Captains will be locked on Thursday night.

First Rd Draw:
Liverpool Rams v Oxford Owls
Rams were decimated by suspensions and injuries last year and will be looking for a strong performance over last years premiers. Expect an improved showing from Rams but Owls favoured.

Blackpool Bunnies v Leeds Leeches
Bunnies were a tad disappointing last year but have recruited well and could cause an upset by overcoming the Leeches. Despite the improvement in Bunnies still favour Leeches.

Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs v Swansea Breakers
Despite some additional firepower hard to see the Breakers overcoming the Hedgehogs

Nottingham Hoods v Winchester Werewolves
Hoods were another team cruelled by injury last year and will be looking to break into the Top 8 again but will find the task difficult against the Werewolves.

Manchester Magic v Huddersfield Hawks.
Hard to see Magic overcoming the strong Hawks outfit.

Bradford Badgers v Birmingham Dragons
Dragons will be hoping for a strong start to the season to set up the run at the 8. Badgers will again be strong. In what I consider the match of the round Badgers with HGA will be favoured.

Grope Lane Giants v Staines Steins
This is another game that is difficult to predict. Both teams finished in the lower end of the table and have recruited well and will want to start their season with a win. Giants with HGA may just get over the line.

Wrexham Knights v Hastings Hurricanes
Hurricanes will start strong favourites here.

Remember deadline for naming teams here is bounce of Collingwood v Western Bulldogs game on Friday night
