Was working on my upgrade strategy for my mids and it made me think of who is likely to deserve upgrade, and who should I be starting versus upgrading during byes.      Interested to see how people vote.     Just making the list helped me see who was top of mind and who deserved more consideration.

Assuming everyone remains fit and doesn't get injured... :P

Rocky, Danger, Fyfe, Pendles, Beams, Gaz, JPK, Sloaney would be something I'd be fairly happy with

Treloar, Hanners, Jelwood could all make their way in though (among others). Just gotta wait and see who bottoms out or is going too well to ignore (e.g. Neale and Hanners last season).

Hard to say before the season starts but have gone with this

Danger, Pendles , Selwood , Rocky , Neale , Fyfe , Hanners , Beams  starting with 5 of them but anyone could get injured but I would be happy with that lineup

GL  do you see GCS giving Ablett more mid time.    Watching him the other night he can still score.  Just not sure his role will support a 115+ average.    Good news is we get to assess it later in the year if he does get hot.

Also surprised how many see Beams lasting the year.

If all stay injury free i'd be happy with Danger, Pendles, JPK, Rocky, Selwood, Treloar, Fyfe and Beams.

will be starting with 5-6 of them :)

Agree with this list,  just see Titch in place of Beams.   I am not expecting him to still be on the park come year end.

Yeah Beams is a big ? If he stays on the park enough he goes 115-120. For his price though, i think he's worth the risk.

For me Beams a bit each way.   Just need him to last to Rn 9 -12 and he will pay off as a stepping stone.   If he lasts the whole year whoopee,  Trade saved and 115+ player bought cheap.

Seeing this is all hypothetical and anyone can get injured if Beams is there years end he is top 5 scorer for me

Fair enough.    I will still be planning on mid season upgrade for Beams though

That's why i said assuming everyone stays fit haha, unlikely Beams gets through the whole year. But if you don't think he would be a top 8 or so mid if fit then you shouldn't start him imo.

And regarding Ablett, i won't be starting him but if he stays fit then even playing forward should still score well enough to be one of the best mids end of year.

I have a strong feeling that those that don't start with Beams are going to regret it .... but I've been wrong before :P

Grufflez
