Hi Guys,

We are back again!!

This is what i have managed to come up with, and I'm no were near done.

Happy with a strong midfield, however im fielding a few high priced rookies but may change come closer to round 1.

Not sure if my forwards are too weak and need to move cash around?

think Nank or ryder is needed in the fwd as a backup for sandi.

Let me know what you guys think?  :D

Mate really good balanced side for first up.
Defence no problems here.. maybe upgrade JJ to Taylor Adams .
Mids strong. Sloane may struggle to start season with eye socket injury .Ward would be good option at similar price. Rucks standard and you have backup for Sandi with Nank
Forwards a little thin but a lot of sides starting with 2 premiums.
With your bench, Graham 4 weeks away and Ryan won't start Rnd 1 IMO. Plenty of time to adjust rookies though.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback,

im not sure i would want to change JJ i think he shows a lot of upside this year.

Not sure who i would replace sloane with, ideally i would love pedals but wouldn't have the cash.

Hmm i agree with you about ryan, but still plenty of time to adjust the rookies.

Im not sure that the eye socket will slow sloane down, was fit as you can be when it happened and hes a tough enough nut to push through it

also agree, fairly solid side

Not a bad side with a few POD's  ;)
Def: I quite like the JJ pick. Before he went down last season he was killing it so could start hot this season as well.

Mid: Perhaps look at Treloar instead of Sloane if he doesn't make rnd1. Think he will defiantly improve this season.

Ruck: Not a Sandi fan personally but he is very capable and i see the appeal. you have cover in Nank but i'd watch both closely.

Fwd: Bit risky only having one premo. Putting a lot of faith in Heeney to break out but could pay off for you.

have to take some kind of risks though in this game so hope it pays off for you! :)

thinking of getting beams in and getting cash to get another prem forward?

not alot of love for heeney :( not sure if i should take him out now.

Beams and cash is a good option. If you can use the cash to strengthen another line then by all mean go for it!

I rate him but i just don't know how much mid time he's actually going to get? Probably another year away i reckon but i'd just keep an eye on him over the next couple of JLT games and go from there.

Current team,

BACKS: SHAW, ADAMS, LAIRD, HAMPTON, E.VICKERS-WILLIS, NEWMAN.  (OTTEN, STEWART)

MIDS: DANGERFIELD, KENNEDY, TRELOAR, SLONE, MITCHELL, BEAMS, O’MEARA, BRODIE {S.PP, BARRETT, HIBBERD]

RUCKS: GAWN, SANDI (STRNADICA)

FWDS: DAHLHAUS, HIGGINS,ROUGHEAD, NANKERVIS, TARANTO, PICKETT (HOUSTON , EDDY)

Still unsure about the rookies, think taranto and brodie will be solid picks.

not sure why brodie didnt play much last night, will he get a crack this year?

DEF :
H. Shaw   R. Laird   Z. Tuohy
J. Thurlow   C. Hampton   A. Otten         (T. Stewart, E. Vickers-Willis)

MID:                J. Barrett
P. Dangerfield   A. Treloar   M. Bontempelli   N. Fyfe
T. Mitchell   D. Beams   J. O'Meara   S. Powell-Pepper          (B. Parfitt, J. Barrett, M. Hibberd)

RUCK:
M. Gawn   A. Sandilands         (L. Strnadica)_

FWD:
L. Dahlhaus   J. Macrae   T. Nankervis
J. Steele   T. Taranto   J. Pickett         (B. Eddy, D. Houston)

Current team set up atm, only issues i have with this team is

SPP strong enough to play on the field.

Tuohy strong enough to play as a thrid prem.

and is steele going to breakout this year? if not i can get either J.Roughead or W. Hoskin-Elliott to inject more cash in my team and possibly upgrade tuohy to adams.

or Option 2

DEF :

L. Dahlhaus   J. Macrae   T. Nankervis
W. hoskin-Elliott   T. Taranto   J. Pickett         (B. Eddy, D. Houston)

like both teams mate, could definately both work!

imo money on touhy can be better spent on doc or adams if you have room in the cap, and marchbank is a great pick but not sure if he is better than thurlow at roughly the same price

you could downgrade steele to hoskin elliot and use the cash to upgrade tuohy and/or marchbank???

great job so far mate best of luck for the year!

Ringo

Yep Either team can work -

If Barrett is elevated and using option 2 would move Hibberd back to defence to replace any not playing and bting Barrett in. Extra dollars as well.

Also not a fan of Tuohy would like to see how he goes easrly as he has not reached these heights before.

Glenmaggie

I like team 2, my advice would be Swallow to rookie, depends on selections, and upgrade Tuohy to Shaw or Docherty. Don't think you can start without at least one of them.

Good luck

albaz

thats so much for the support, im happy overall now with my team.

i swapped martin for gawn, do you think its a big loss?

team still looks great,

im not sold on starting without either gawn or goldy to be honest,

you could downgrade swallow to a rookie or doc to someone else like adams to free up some cap space to upgrade martin

Martin is awkwardly priced and we havnt seen enough from him in a long while to think he can replace a gawn or goldy or even

make money.

dont mind not starting without gawn but you need someone more consistent or at the very least cheaper than martin who could

make some cash to replace him with !

best of luck either way mate ;)
