Anyone going down this path?

I have a list of 10 blokes below 450k that look appealing. I'll provide the list in time but was interested in getting everyone's  opinion on who they could be before I supply my list so it's not influenced.

Give me your 10?

RaisyDaisy

Tried this last year, got burnt badly so never again

HH the only cheaper defender I'm looking at, and that's because he's proven and just had a bad year

Mills tempting too

Other than those two, can't see anyone else below 450k who could go 95+, and that's what you want this year with so many proven 95+ guys to chose from

Bully

Hartlett for me, just needs some time on the ball.

eaglesman

That's 3 of my 10

I reckon there's a few below 350 that can be used as stepping stones

gloryboy

Not touching mid price backs this year

But if someone stands out in jlt, I could be keen

Taking risks else where

As mentioned, he's the one I've had since SC opened, but keep in mind he will be playing off half back this year

Don't have access but I reckon a lot will boil down to Bonner's development and game time. In saying that there's no reason why he can't become an effective rebounder, his game is suited to the role. All things considered, anything over 90 will be acceptable.

I have Macmillan in my side. With all of the experience leaving North, particularly with NDS and Wells gone they need quality kicks off half back getting as much ball as possible. Macmillan looks to have that lead distribution of 1/2 back role and looked good today in the JLT game. He averaged over a ton in the 2nd half of 2016.

KK interests me as well. Was touted for a breakout year in 2016 but it did not eventuate. He looks fitter and performed admirably today. The round 9 bye puts me off but he is another I am watching.

Zac jones 300k defender.
With the void left by tom Mitchell can he fill it? He was attending what seemed a lot of centre bounces. Understand only jlt but he was physical in there looked as though his tackle numbers would have been up.

They talk about using Heeney mills and foote in there. But heeney will probably be used forward. Mills looks key down back and foote only rookie.

If we are talking the likes of hrovat being an ok selection even if he averages 80 then I think this bloke can do the same.

Thoughts?

I don't think his CB attendances count for much when JPK, Hanners and Parker were barely starting there

Similar to Hrovat, another guy who could avg 80-85 for 300k, but won't be good enough as a keeper and will only make about 100k, so why bother?

When you say is Jones worth it at 300k it brings back memories of last year of Sheridan and Lonergran going the next step but both just went nowhere lot of people got sucked in including me I had Lonergran so no thanks to Zac  ;)

batt

Yeah, everyone please avoid Zak he will suck please don't get him thanks.

Money Shot

I swear that I hear good things about Zak Jones every preseason and every season he sucks.

Swallow, O'meara, Roughead and maybe Elliot are the only guys from 250-400k worth considering for me.

Hartlett who could be seen as a midpricer would be a good pick but I'm not starting him due to the round 9 bye.

Both players I see as potential options AK.   Just picking a winner in the sub 450K def market is like a lottery.   Joey, Adams, Laird, Tmac,  maybe Rance will be my starters and then try to get Doc, Simmo and Shaw at appropriate time.         Thought KK was going to be a SC gun but he is used to fill holes all over the GCS team.  Too often asked to hold kpf down or run with.    Unless he gets kick out of def role will not be reliable.   This appears to be the role Macmillan has at North and makes him a viable choice and likely POD.
