Anyone taking a look at either of these two??

With forward options (in my opinion) looking fairly thin this year thanks to the omissions of Zorko, Dusty and Zerrett, i truly believe these two old (young) dogs could break out at new clubs. Rated them both very highly at the Bulldogs but obviously due a stupid amount of midfield depth they were devout of opportunity.

Didn't see Hrovat's game today but he scored fairly well. Will have to wait and see what Steven's role will be at STK but he's undoubtedly a tough nut who knows how to find plenty of the pill.

Thoughts?

Wouldn't pick Koby, but Hrovat could pay off

Just awkward though at 300k because at that price he needs to turn into a 90+ keeper, and I reckon he can possibly do that, but the risk isn't worth it I think

why does he need to be a 90+ keeper at that price only the top 10 forwards do that. Which costs you 500k

I reckon if you got 85 from him you should be really happy it would mean he goes up to 460k worth, even a 80 average aint too bad for his price.

And you want 80-85 averaging forwards in your final team? Or do you start him, try to make 100-120k then use a trade to upgrade? Seems pointless

Clear pass for me. Good for XV's, but not SC

I wouldnt pick him becauseI dont think he goes 85. If you told me he plays 22 and scores 85 i would lock him in.

If you go for overall it has merit as the 15 points you have him over a rookie adds up if thats the first 10 rounds its 150 points added to your score.

He would be a great F7 M9 cover and its not a bad F6 given the state of the forwards.

im going to pay up for Roughy at 365k and im hoping for 85 - 90 from him so 85ish from a 300k guy is an absolute bargain.if you think he is going to score 80-85 pick him. I dont think he will so im not picking him.

Just for the record if im picking a 300k guy at north its Ryan Clarke not Nathan

The rehomed dogs just like our Dog "Archie" is a rehomed greyhound.   If it cant run it cant run.    ;D

I think you need to pick the mid-pricers either as stepping stones (quick cash-grab, similar to a rookie) or as keepers, and if you're going to lock in a bloke who will average 15 points below those top-tier forwards then you're making a mistake imo. Of course there will be players who underperform according to your expectations, or that you may pick up on the cheap, but those shouldn't be intentionally selected from day 1.

If Hrovat was 70k cheaper I would jump on him he just an awkward price his scores so far have been good but not sure he will keep up a decent avg.
