Gigantor

I've tried him at R2 with Sandi at R1  :D

Would be a massive risk but the rest of my lines look magnificent  haha

Ugh don't give me any ideas haha!

I could see this perhaps working if a bloke like Giles gets games early and you can put him on the bench.. Although that may defeat the purpose of saving money in the rucks

Strandica at R3, Lycett F3
If Lycett is fit I believe he will score better than Ryder and be a real chance of being a top 10 fwd, people may laugh at that but the top forward this year could be averaging less that 100 so a F6 averaging low 90's wont be a problem.

To be honest I'll probably wuss out and go back to my Gawn+Goldy team but it's fun to play around haha  ;D

Haha yes me too! Team looks so nice with Witts in and Fyfe at M6  :P

Although realistically at 217k Witts is a rookie, not a mid-pricer. Which puts him in the McCluggage/McGrath/WHE/Ainsworth bracket.

I'm deciding between say Goldy and McCluggage vs JPK/Rocky and Witts.. And I'll admit the former looks pretty darn good.

Goldy 110 + Lugg 70 v Rocky 125 + Witts 85

Option 2 EASY imo

How? Rocky played a full year 3 years ago and went 132. Second half of 2015 when fit went 121. Last year averaged over 120, in the second half of the year when fit. Witts lone ruck should see him on the positive side of an 80 average. Pretty easy to be confident in those numbers.

Witts firming more and more for me

Money Shot

Witt's has never been in my team and probably never will be.

Too expensive for bench cover and way to risky for R2.

125 and 85 is overs IMO wato

Can't just assume Rocky is going to come out and play 22 going at 125, because his history says otherwise

115 and 75-80 is more like it

Also, you're making an assumption Witts is best 22 and plays all year

GoLions

So what happens when Nicholls is fit and ready to play in like round 3?

I am going to assume because there is every chance he does. He's been very unlucky. I agree Witts may be an overestimation, more like 75-80 but Rocky 125 I'm very confident about.

Yeah I reckon Rocky could go 125 with some luck, but Witts scoring and JS has to be the biggest factor here

R2 or R3?

I'm struggling to see the value in him when Sandi is only 100k more

Witts at R2 with Lycett/Ryder forward to Witts at R3 allowing you to not need Lycett/Ryder

Forward options are thin, so I'm happy to start Lycett/Ryder at F3, and therefor have no need/interest in Witts. He'll be a slow burn, score average and probably get dumped as soon as Nicholls is ready

You'd be banking on the fact that he can win and keep the starting ruck role, which looks like he has every chance to do.

The Suns have plenty of guys who can pinch hit in the ruck, so they'll never pick two in the same team. Obviously Witts being dropped once Nicholls is fit is the issue, but if he shows promise in the JLT I'll still consider him.

ronl

Definitely prefer Caddy over Ryder up forward, I think he'll slot right in and be a comfortable fit at Richmond.  So, for me, the idea of using Witts at R3 and Caddy at F3 is the way to go.
