Just out of curiousity I would like to know what guys you really want to pick but just can't bring yourself to do it.

Defence: Hartlett screams value but he has the round 9 bye and could play the same role next year.

Midfield: Ablett. He is the goat ... or should I say was the goat?

Ruck: Martin could go 110+ but he dropped 30ppg last season and I think he will struggle to go 100+

Forward: Franklin, seems to have some kind of injury every pre season but then he comes out and kills it anyways.

On a side note the pods I am considering but probably won't pick are:

Macmillan 0.4%
Gibbs 0.6%
Lycett 1.3%
Higgins 1.1%

quinny88

D: Nick Vlastuin. Moving into the midfield where he scores well and hitting a good age.
Hamish Hartlett. Good scoring history. Unknown role though makes it too risky for me.

M: Marc Murphy. Got a feeling he's in for a big year but can't bring myself to bring him in for an underdone Beams.
Dustin Martin. Gets better every year. Worried he spends a lot more time fwd though with the added mid depth

R: Stef Martin. With Goldy and sandy having interrupted pre seasons, super tempted to go with Gawn/stef combo. Can't do it though.

F: Josh Caddy. The only forward I have locked this year is Dahl but Caddy has come in and out a few times. Just can't leave him in

Sabretooth Tigers

Def     C Mills  could get some of Mitchells mid time  -- Zack Jones ditto.   Jayden Hunt from Melbourne could also go bang.

Mids     M Bontempelli  this guy could be anything and could also come in to my side after Rd.2. Want to see how he fares with a full midfield available for the Dogs. I've taken Gazza as a POD instead.

Ruck     Set and forget Gawn and Goldy. But I keep looking at Stef for Goldy.

For       Steven Motlop, had him last year and still tempted to go again.

;)

Def- Daniel McKenzie @291k is at that awkward price but is shaping well for a big season. Want to but too much risk.
Fwd- Touk Miller.

gloryboy

DEF: Trent Mackenzie, Burgoyne, TMac

MID: SSelwood, Ablett, Titch, Beams,

RU: Stef Martin (due to same bye as Gawn), Witts (in R2/R3)

FWD: Roughy, CEY, Higgins, Touk Touk, The Chad, Elliot, Motlop, Greene

FWDs so much potential, so much risk

Pittard is the main one for me. Was pretty consistent last year, but will need to bump his average up at least 5 points to be a top 10 defender with this year's crop.

Tom Mitchell as well in the midfield. Would love to squeeze him in, but just can't..

+1 for pittard, had him last year and served well but yeah im not sure he'll be top of the top and can be an upgrade target.

Jack Vineys the big one fore me, had him last year too and put in a few stinkers that burned me but also won me some games. hes gonna go huge soon but im not 100% certain if it will be this year

Tom Mitchell, could become supercoach pig this year. However at Hawthorn and more mature may see him playing great football but with similar supercoach output.

Kieren Jack is doing my head in. $488K is a steal, but can't bring myself to do it.

Tom McDonald

I'm worried how his role will change with the new coach and Hibberd + Melksham into the side. Not sure if he will be able to run off his man as much

RaisyDaisy

Please stop mentioning his name - I'd like his ownership to remain low ;)

Has been in my side since SC opened, and isn't moving

Don't do it, he is going to play a forward role and get much less mid Time this year

I really want to pick Heeney, but am not 100% he can do the 90+ avg this year. We are going to need him playing more forward without Papley. And I don't think the JLT will help me

Interesting, thanks for that. Hopefully Rose gets a go in the Mids to replace him.
