I never follow pre season form as rule (besides studying rooks) as it has burnt me so many times

However occasionally a no brainer comes through like Wells last year

Class is class and watching him this year so far its still there

IMO it was never a decision if he is good enough, it was whether he was fit....he has played both pre season games so far so there is no doubt on his fitness - Hawthorns fitness and conditioning gurus are elite and theres is no way they would be risking him in a backyard scratch match if he was not 100% - its Hawks policy that blokes don't play unless they are 100% (Besides maybe Hodge playing a GF with broken ribs!)

Even if his starting price was 500K he would still be a lock for me

Roughy running through the guts is a lock as well, he was doing it a lot before he want down with the big C and wasn't scoring too badly IMO - he can easily raise his price by 150 - 200K to be a stepping stone to that break out player killing the pig  I didn't start with

If Roughie raises his price by 150-200k he will be averaging 100-110, not sure I would trade him out haha. At his price he is picked as a keeper not a stepping stone.

I agree on Omeara, too much talent to ignore!

I guess I didn't explain myself with Roughy.....if he can get to that 150 - 200K spike in output then trade him out...I cant see him averaging 105+ but is capable of stringing a couple of good games together from time to time...especially if he pinch hits in the ruck as well which he can do - he is tough as nails at the ball and you only really get to appreciate that watching on from the boundary - he is also very hard to tackle....when he did play in the ruck his follow up work was great with either a CP or tackle in the congestion - he has a big body and is capable of playing that extra mid occasionally

In any other year I'd say that would be wise but this year we'll all have KP forwards in our line-up. Trading Roughie would be a luxury and there would have to be a dirt cheap player on offer for this to be vindicated.

In before the complaining comes lol

It's his first game in a very long time, so don't go cracking it if he just puts up 60 tonight

Yes, I have him too

Mat0369

I actually swapped him out last night. I made a bunch of moves which looked like this.

Out: Swallow, O'Meara, Witts, Roughy, Goldy
In: Rocky, Houston (SPP to M8), Cameron, Steele, Gawn

Cameron allowed me to loophole Pendles

Rocky isn't scoring much better and neither did Hanners so the jury is still out on all that.

I'm more worried about Tom Mitchell.

53 @3QT

I'm not even disappointed. Ideally he gets past 70 but in week one, and at 310k it's still a bargain price for a guy who should improve quickly.

56. Close game, should hopefully have some key possessions in the last and get 85

Grufflez

He will get better he just isn't going to be that quick upgrade to a premo some of us idiots (me  :P)
were foolishly hoping for.

Will take some time getting back up to the pace of AFL.

Would people trade O'Meara to Murphy if it only cost one trade? I'm able to free up some cash after bailing on Swallow.

Only if you are 100% sure you want Murphy in your team all year, keeper or not worth 2 trades.

It would be 1 trade only. I was able to trade Swallow to Parfitt before lockout and now have spare cash to upgrade O'Meara to Murphy next week.

He is saying it's two trades if you end up trading out Murphy later if you don't see him as a keeper

If I had known I would have done the same thing but with Bowes. Not liking O'Meara one little bit but I think I'm stuck.
