Looking good, reckon he takes Murphy's position in my line-up.

Bob or Marc? I'm tempted to go 2 premiums in defense, load up on rookies and start Marc Murphy at M6, Swallow at M7 and O'Meara at M8.

Money Shot

O'meara/Swallow combo is looking a lot better than Hanners/rookie

Was thinking Marc but have come up with another permutation - Bont & McLuggage to Murphy & Roughie. Means I still have Swallow at M8 & now Roughie at F4. Defence is also strong with Shaw, Montagna & Laird.

Comes in for M. Murphy for me.

Saves 100K for similar output and may be a keeper if he has an injury free year.

Now it's whether to bring Roughy in!

He ended the game quite poorly really ...

I don't want to start him as I hate starting midpricers but that first half was unbelievable.

He could average 105 and be a M8 keeper.

Starting to tempt me

88SC from 81% TOG today

I'm still thinking he will average 90-95.

The way I'm looking at it is would I rather start him or start Bob Murphy or O'Meara and bank the 80k. The difference is Bob is more likely to become a keeper while I'm only looking at O'Meara as a stepping stone. So I might have to burn a trade down the track with O'Meara that I hope I wouldn't have to with Bob.

Harsh critic. Was BOG in the first half and eased off in the 2nd half when rotated forward and onto the bench.

Lock for me.

Bully

You'd have to pick him over Swallow.

That is one option.   The other is to start both of them.    With Myers out think plenty of people will start both of them now.   At the moment I have Fyfe m6 and then jom and swallow.     Bit thinner in backs and forwards.

i've got both atm.

swallow got 18 touches at 100% efficiency should be a decent score

Will see how he goes in his last JLT game, been fairly impressive so far. Just wish he got discounted again instead of holding his price :P

Was tagged by Mountford in the last half.

I never follow pre season form as rule (besides studying rooks) as it has burnt me so many times

However occasionally a no brainer comes through like Wells last year

Class is class and watching him this year so far its still there

IMO it was never a decision if he is good enough, it was whether he was fit....he has played both pre season games so far so there is no doubt on his fitness - Hawthorns fitness and conditioning gurus are elite and theres is no way they would be risking him in a backyard scratch match if he was not 100% - its Hawks policy that blokes don't play unless they are 100% (Besides maybe Hodge playing a GF with broken ribs!)

Even if his starting price was 500K he would still be a lock for me

Roughy running through the guts is a lock as well, he was doing it a lot before he want down with the big C and wasn't scoring too badly IMO - he can easily raise his price by 150 - 200K to be a stepping stone to that break out player killing the pig  I didn't start with
