Only two I would look at in your shoes would be maybe a Roughy to Houston or Hanners to Bont/Murphy. I'm not sure how MacMillian is scoring since I haven't really paid any attention to him. Hanners is a bit of a worry and I didn't see Roughy as a keeper and pulled the trigger prior to round 1. If you're happy to hold the first thing I would do next week is Hibberd>Newman if he holds his spot.

Hanneberry to Murphy is chasing last weeks points. I am backing Hanners in for now. I don't see Murphy as a top 8 midfielder.

MacMillan scored alright on the weekend and will hold for now. I am worried about Rough but I am also not trading him for now.

I was thinking that I need to ensure I have F7 cover. One of Eddy/Preuss needs to go this week. Balic comes in.

Plenty of options with the other trade. Could upgrade or downgrade.

Of the non-keepers Marchbank has a 46 BE, WHE 49, SPP 41, Stewart 25, Hampton 6. Roughy has a BE of 76 and isn't doing enough to be a keeper but I am reluctant to cull him yet.

Option 1 with trade 2) SPP to a premo midfielder looks a good option
Option 2) Stewart or Hampton to Williamson for another cash grab another option to allow 2 upgrades next week.

Happy for advise with trade options.

It's a hard week.
I have Preuss, Stewart and Eddy too.
I would keep the first 2 as they still have $$ to earn.
Maybe go with Eddy out.
If wanting a mid perm have a look at Sloane as he has an easy run of games now.

How about Stewart to Balic via Hibberd - Hibberd allows you to Loophole Hampton and Newman
Then Eddy to whoever you can afford via Balic

I have decided to go Preuss to Fisher. This is done by moving Strnadica to R3 and Parfitt to F7.

Then I have upgraded Barrett to Marc Murphy.

I can use Newman to loophole Hampton and Stewart. 27 trades and $45,300 left.

Sorry if this sounds retarded... But am I missing something? How have you traded out Preuss for a non ruck when he isn't a DPP?

I see you have moved parfitt to F7 and Strnadica to R3, but I still don't see how this has given you an option to trade a ruck for a mid lol

Have I been missing something for the past 6 years of supercoach or am I just tired   :o

You use the trading room in SC to sub players. So in this case he subs Strandica to Ruck and then Parfitt to forward allowing Strandica to Fisher.
By using the trading room and going through all the S options you can achieve a lot.

Round 5 Update

A decent move up the rankings last week. Scored 2288 and moved up from 7165 to 3498 in the rankings.

Having a look at my team history over the last 4 years it happens to be the best positioned in both rank and trades after 5 rounds in those last 4 years. 2 years ago I finished 620th after being in the top 500 for basically all of the 2nd half of the season and 2096th last year after spending 6 weeks in the top 500 at the back end of the season and again running out of trades.

If I can not have that shocking round or 2 which I have copped in the past I think I am in a great position to head towards my goal of beating my 620th overall finish in 2015.

Used both of my trades last week.

I traded Preuss to Fisher and Barrett to M.Murphy. Fisher will get lots of games and make ok cash on the bench. Murph didn't play great but has been in great form prior to last week.

SPS has a hit his cash generation ceiling and has IMO an unattainable BE of 76. Trading him to Balic is an easy decision.

I then have $219,800 for my 2nd trade.

I have a few options.

I could trade one of Otten/Marchbank/Hampton to Shaw but all 3 of these cash generation rookies have cash to make.

I could trade WHE or Roughy to Macrae or I could trade Butler to Buddy.

My preference is either WHE to Macrae or Butler to Buddy.

WHE has the much higher BE but I would back him to outscore Butler. Whichever way I can go I can upgrade the other next week.

Thoughts are always welcome.

I reckon Buddy is just about to go bang, but does have a higher BE than Macrae. Same bye as well, so based on BE alone, Macrae by a nose.
