Hi all. Been playing around with my team for a while. This is what I am currently sitting on.

Hey mate, decent looking team, though I'd love to hear your justification for Macmillan!
I just can't see him becoming relevant after having established himself as a low-80s defender over the course of 5 or so years. Do you see him changing roles?

I like the idea of McCarthy. If he's right to play will be in the 22. With no Pav and Mayne leaving aswell. Could be a year for him to cement himself forward and kick 50+ goals. Haven't seen many teams with him in either. Also interesting with vince there. Will Lewis jumping in the middle help or hinder him. Someone like a pittard who will have a bit more freedom could be put in there in place of him. But like the team and structure

I sure I read somewhere that with the lost of Wells, Boomer, NDS etc Macmillan was a strong contender for more midfield time, can't find the source but there was definitely some discussion.
Wouldn't risk him in SC but currently have him in AF.

Edit:
Averaged 104 after the bye (Not counting rd 23, injured in the first qtr)

Makes sense! There are always a few curveballs in defence, perhaps Macmillan will surprise a few!

AaronKirk

MacMillan is a punt for sure but as Gigantor mentioned he averaged over a ton after the bye and with Wells, NDS and Boomer gone someone has to pick up the slack. The tag will likely go to Ziebell so with more midfield time he is worth a look.

Good side with some nice pods. Well done mate :)

took macmillan last year, traded him at the byes, destroyed my soul.

i think the reason for his average start was because he was a bit of a mr fix it for norths backline early as they had a few mid and small sized defenders go down early in the year. As a fan of north also i personally dont see him getting much time in the guts, works best off half back and the wing, i think the extra mid time will go to young blokes like dumont and clarke.

teams looking pretty good though. not a huge fan of mccarthy but, just because hes the lone big man doesnt mean he'll score a lot, still very young. does matter how talented young bigs are they rarely score well. i think you could find better value for less money

AaronKirk

Final team. Unless there are late outs or massive bench scores to loophole there will be no changes.

Side looks good, though you're not tempted to put Preuss at R3?

I'd be wary of Otten, liking Macreadie and Smith more myself.

dropped Otten for Smith,   dont have Butler currently have Eddy, Pickett and Houston for f6-8.    would have brought in Long if I had butler on the bench.      Good news is I got rid of   Caddy for Higgins about a week ago and watching tonights performance bloody glad of it.

I have put Preuss at R3 to loophole Butler's score and moved Strnadica to F6.

I will wait on team final team announcements before moving Otten potentially.

Not sure how wise that is...lost DPP as Preuss is Ruck only.

My thoughts exactly.

So I scored 2140 in round 1 and 2318 in round 2.

My ranking moved from 41,281 to 7,582 this week. Happy with that.

Team is below. 30 trades and $86,500 in the bank

Def: Laird, Adams, MacMillan, Marchbank, Hampton, Otten (Stewart, Hibberd,)
Mid: Dangerfield, Treloar, JPK, Fyfe, Beams, Hanneberry, O'Meara, SPP (SPS, Barrett, Parfitt)
Ruck: S.Martin, Sandilands (Preuss)
Fwd: Dahlhaus, Nankervis, Greene, WHE, Roughead, Butler, (Eddy, Strnadica)

Dunno about trades. I may hold this week.
