I only got to watch about 20 minutes of the game, but from what I saw you could see Gaz was still holding back with his left arm/side of body

No chance I'd start him, but upgrade after R9 bye is possible

Can understand the concern with Swallow too but I think expectations on him are a bit higher than what they should be. Suns have a very deep midfield now and he went 100 when most of them were not around. I think he will go 80-90 tbh, and I would rather a rookie going 70 for 150k cheaper but because there ain't much of them around Swallow and his JS stay - there's more than enough upside

Rock solid JS, 80+ points each week and expected rise of 150-200k vs 150k in the bank, questionable JS, 65-70 a week and 200k profit

Swallow ahead for mine

Just going by scores is misleading.
Ablett started forward, but did play through the mids as well. Looks solid and will get better, it would be a risk to start him, but definetly on my radar as a late season pickup when I have strong enough bench cover.
Lynch will be a gun, but I want him to show the improvement before I pull him into my team after his bye.

Im starting to warm away from Swallow myself.
Ablett Back, Touk Improvemnet, Barlow In, Hall improvement, Hanley In. Im just a bit concerned that he won't be able to pull consistent 90+ scores.

If he was to average 85 (Which is my expectation) he would make a maximum of 180k.
A 180k player who averaged 70 would make 200k. Getting a cheaper rookie would be even more than that and I see a few that could easily do that.

If he was a FWD or Defender it would be a lock as there would be a chance he became a premium, but in the mids you also need the strong cash generation.

Not sure how many rooks are guaranteed best 18 starters each week

Swallow is

You've gotta be nuts to leave him out...think of how many times you've had to trade a rook mid season that has only made you 100K...even less

Swallow has 100K increase  in him easy

Good points and probably the strongest reason to start Swallow.  JS over a starting rookie.    The rookie JS certainly looks lean at the moment.
