For failure to name your team, maybe something like:

1st offence - warning
2nd offence - no captain
3rd offence - no captain + forfeit premiership points (so points for and against still apply, but other team gets 4 points regardless of the outcome)

Agree with 1 & 2, but 3, could we do the loss of all other bonus points that are applicable?
I originally didn't include loss of HGA, as you don't have HGA every week, but not really fussed with that.

Does that include options of VC points & if applicable evc?
Yeah, whoever gets their score doubled as C, so whether that be your C, VC, or EVC :)

is it possible to make the 3rd offence just a loss of points (like a loss of 2 or 4 points) and then the match up still apply for that week, as it would be a bit boring playing someone who didnt name there team otherwise.

(unless i misunderstood the above)
I thought that some might not be happy if they played someone who hadn't named a team multiple times, and that team still got the 4 points. But yeah, that's definitely an option if people prefer :)

A 3 strike system is probably fair, but I think it's kinda too lenient at the same time. During the course of the season, naming one's team is basically the only real job a coach has, and if they can't do that, then their commitment needs to be questioned.

yeah i agree, maybe take the warning out? its not too hard to name a team :P

Ringo

Warning for first time is fair as at times can miss deadline. penalties will have to be at discretion of Admins in some cases may be legitimate reasons why deadlines missed eg FF may be down etc.

Yep, we just recently had this in Qld, but ok elsewhere.

Ringo

OK we need to firm up on some of these for strat of season so will be sending out a vote:

Home Ground Advantage:
1) Lowest score on field to be applied
2) 3% of Total score to be applied
3) Bases score of 60 to be applied.

Penalty for not naming team:
Looks like we all agree on
First Offence - Warning
Second Offence - No doubling of C or VC scores
Third and subsequent offences is where we need a vote:
1) No bonus points to be applied C,VC or Hga
2) No bonus points to be applied C,VC or Hga and deduction of 2 Premiership Points.

Votes will be sent out later tonight or tomorrow with voting to close next Wednesday.

1)  No Home Ground Advantage 1 votes
2)  HGA to apply with lowest score of home team being the HGA 13 votes

Why was the vote just sent around if we had already voted for this option?

Ringo

It was sent around due to the varying opinions as to what HGA should be as per this thread. There were comments on the vote that said they wanted HGA but a different option.

Ringo

Just Hedgehogs to vote and remember required by Wednesday - Both votes very close so vote can make a difference.

Ringo

Ok forgot to post results here and these rules will apply for this season but can again discuss for next season due to closeness

Vote 6
Home Ground Advantage

1) Lowest score on field to be applied  6 votes
2) 3% of Total score to be applied 5 votes
3) Bases score of 60 to be applied. 5 votes

Vote 7
Penalty for 3rd and Subsequent offence for failing to lodge teams.

1) No bonus points to be applied C,VC or Hga 9 votes
2) No bonus points to be applied C,VC or Hga and deduction of 2 Premiership Points. 7 votes

Votes on HGA extremely close.

Nige

Okay, here's my issue.

Because of the result of Vote 7, the punishment for the 3rd offence is now pretty much almost the same as the 2nd offence which therefore makes the 3rd offence borderline redundant as it is hardly an increase in punishment.
