Anybody else concerned with Pruess affecting Goldi scoring.    Wont take much to knock 15 points of his average and it turns into a waster of money.    Grundy appears to be the most reliable option at the moment.

Pruess wont play with a fit Goldy he is a back up. Defaintely cant see them playing one in the forward line with Wood Waite Brown Daw Durdin Nielson McKay etc..

possibly a game or two early because of our forward injuries but not for a major part of the season. Ill make a call Goldy plays 20-22 games this year and Preuss plays 0-2.

My concern with Goldy was his comment last year (can't remember exact source sorry) where he stated that he was happy to step back and drop his individual output for the benefit of the team - referring to younger blokes like Daw having a crack in the ruck.

At the minute with all the questions around Stef and Goldy it makes a cheap R2 option look inviting to start with until the season shows us who is the obvious R2 option.
Gawn is a lock at R1 but that R2 spot is giving me a headache so i'm wondering if a cheap R2 enables me to bring in another Prem Mid keeper. What am I losing trade wise, nothing and points should balance out or be a on the positive side if I bring in another gun mid compared to starting Goldy or Stef.

I toyed with that idea as well, and while I accept that it could pay off big time if you make the right call, though if not you will be in a spot of bother, having to (most likely) kill 2 cash cows to upgrade that one spot, which would probably require 3 trades.
Nankervis or Witts for example could average 90 and prove a masterstroke, or they could feasibly not get games be disastrous picks and force your hand early. Too much at stake for me, I'd more happily select two guns and sideways trade if I absolutely must.

Just go Sandi and you don't have that problem.

That's the only option i'm considering mate if I do go a cheap R2.

Well Archie is in the team now and predictably Stef was a complete spud in his first game with this arrangement, scoring 62 ::)

Stef has still got decent value at 521k, but has a massive breakeven of 139 this week.

Should owners jump off now while they have the chance?

Sideways trade to Kreuzer at 525k with a breakeven of 44 could be available this week only.....

Ringo

Hard one here. A lot may be running a little low on trades and this could be a luxury trade.
Most Lions supporters know that we do not get full value from Stef when he has to share the ruck duties. Could only be for a week or two as well with Archie in the side pending return of Schache now that his head will be cleared.

Will grab Stef next week if Archie gets dropped. Hopefully Stef puts in a 60 and drops under 500k.

I seriously hate the rucks this year.

Sandi out for 3 games in a row.

After his 62 last game, i want to wait and see about Martin. If he scores another 60 this weekend then i might go for Goldy instead.

The problem i have with Goldy is that even though he has an average of 109 last 5 games, there have been games this year where the Roos players havent scored over 100 DT points. Most games only 1 or 2 players score over 100 DT points

flower, might hold Sandi this week flower flower flower

unless of course you went NankilandsWitts.      Unfortunately i went goldy/sandi  then traded goldy to stef.    Down to 9 trades, cannot afford to trade Stef,   just traded Sandi to Bont this week,

plumdog millionaire

If you were to go through all of his games in the pre season and told me he would score 112 against Freo I'd be pretty stoked. Yea it was without Sandi but you can switch that with the 68 last week

Bully

Coming in next week, great price and should get most of the ruck work.

So you're passing on Gawn?

I'm going with Nank and Witts for a few weeks, and then I can assess who of Gawn or Stef I want to grab

Ringo

As a comment from yesterday game suited both Stef and Archie. Stef attended most of the centre bounces and Archie did most in forward 50.
Archie imo still needs to develop his strength as at times he was easily pushed aside.
