Thought this would be useful for people to post position changes/player performance from upcoming intra-club games.

-Zach Merrett named VC and is looking legit.
-McGrath played small defender and rotated through Tippa, Fantasia and Green

So much for not being available for Rd 4. Nice cloak and dagger Hawks.

Seems to be a similar story with Lycett! Now in line to play JLT community series after initially being out till mid-season.

"Recruit Cam McCarthy impressed with his work rate and finished-off with a goal after a strong mark inside 50, while superstar onballer Nat Fyfe continued to switch between playing deep forward and midfield. "

That's huge news

Adams has (based on my observations) 17 disposals (most contested), 5 clearances and 2.1 to half time in the Collingwood intra club playing as a pure inside mid. Locked in.

Wouldn't even judge him from that but I certainly wouldn't judge an intra club performance.
People remember Kane Lucas dominating Intra club games at Carlton?  :-X

I'd argue that hearing him playing purely as a mid is reason enough to select him...we know he has a high ceiling, if he plays in the midfield then injuries would be the only thing to stop him from being a good selection

It's an intra club match though. They had Daicos running through the middle but I can't imagine he will be spending any time in there.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good pick and in my side but his positioning or performance in a match simulation drill or intra club match won't sway me one way or the other

Hawks intra club March report

Roughy; played fwd and in the midfield. He was as good as he has ever been. Great hands and superb with the clearances. Great marking and accurate kicking for goal.
Fitzy; Rucked and went forward where he took several really good marks and kicked accurately. Shows what 12 months in the Hawthorn system means.
Sicily; played back and was very very good. Clean by foot and hand and provided great dash.
Gunners; HE played on the wing, not JOM. He was probably BOG.
JOM; played in the midfield. Exciting to witness his work in and around the packs. Exquisite the way he moves, finds a player to advantage and manages to get the ball away even under heavy physical contact. A keeper I reckon.
Langers; better today but a long way to go yet. Cleaner one grabs but still under pressure when he has the ball hence not so good disposal by foot
Billy; not impressive but more direct running. Lots of occasions when teammates were yelling "run Billy run"
Connor Glass; he was very good. Lots of the ball, generally good disposal AND made lots of excellent football decisions. He has really come on in leaps and bounds. Many of the senior players made the effort to applaud him for his good work.
Vickery; very good in patches. Did a lot of rucking but when opposed to BB, BB would give TV a slight bump causing TV to be slightly out of position and give BB the advantage. But TV is really only just learning the ruck craft and based on what I saw today I think he will be useful in the ruck and could develop as did Hale.
BB; very solid game rucking and around the ground

Of the others Doc played as a mid but has a bit to learn (hurt his shoulder just before 3/4 time and didn't play the last). Stratts, Cyril, Hodge, Punky, Frawley, Schoe, TOB (fwd), Burgers etc.....they're old hands and just know what to do and did so easily.

Overall the game was scrappy at times but there were bursts of brilliance too. Some transitions from deep in defense to a fwd in the sweet spot 20 out was great to see. This was the first serious hit out for months so some skill errors and also there were quite a few out there who are learning the way Hawthorn play with the 2017 modifications.

You didn't know that?

I know you're on the other side, but everyone knows that!
