Someone as yet unmentioned that I haven't taken out of my team is the Hoff! Currently in 0.3% of teams. The only reason I may not start him is if I decide to bring him in following his round 9 bye. A solid scorer who provides a bit of value and will certainly be a POD.

Last 6 years:

22/85
22/95
22/91
21/98
22/80
20/81

He's extremely durable, and looks to have set his scoring at around the early 90s. Last year he had a few early shockers (20s) that destroyed his season average, though after I brought him in around rd7 he comfortably averaged over 90.

**EDIT**
As I was writing this passage, the tantalising thought of one P.Ryder as cover/F6 has entered my mind, and I can't see myself having both!  :o

Yep, this is spot on.  Don't think you can afford to start The Hoff or The Chad if starting Ryder also, and Touk Touk is another with R9 bye.  Round 9 gonna be tough if missing 2-3 premos as its a normal round.

Jamie Elliot @ $291k???

Priced at ~53ppg average, and an awkward mid-price, it's a pass from me.  Prefer CEY at 304k

Jamie Elliot
2012 13 60.9
2013 19 72.4
2014 17 83.2
2015 20 76.6

I found this comment interesting at the time given Lids' injury struggles in recent years. He's now injured his calf again to confirm my decision to steer clear of him.

An article on Heeny filling the void left by Mitchell - Does he now strongly come into consideration at $433k.
It would have more weight if it was coming from the coach, as a player is always going to back himself for a big year. He is under consideration though.

Interrupted preseason is different to prior years injury concerns.
Seeing as he has done his claf ill look into it and probably make a different decision. Starting to feel 2 Prem Fwds could be the best option.

I've just got Dahl, Macrae, Ryder, rookies. Had Lids until the news today but have since swapped to Macrae

I've seen a lot of talk and hype about Heeney because he's been pegged to get midfield minutes, but surely he's going to be tagging?

Parker, Hannebery & JPK + Heeney...Heeney 100% tags IMO, which means it's Titch all over again - except titch has historically been a ball magnet so he made it work.

Can't see heeney being a focal point of that midfield at all...

thoughts?

Why would Heeney tag? Lol

Heeney is too skillful to be a tagger.  They'd use him as a weapon up fwd before using him as a tagger in the midfield.

Absolutely 0 chance of him tagging, he will play the exact same role he played throughout the finals series which was basically off a wing and floating forward and back and rotating into the middle at times, be stupid to have someone as talented and skilful as him tag..
