JJK is good for 90+, but it's a bit of a rollercoaster

Agreed but feel like there's a group of forwards who will consistently get 80-100 (Miller, Caddy, Macrae etc) and then there is Buddy and JJK who will get 140 one week and then 70 the next.

Happy to take the second option... just not sure if it will be JJK or Buddy. Who would you take?

Nowadays JJK seems to have the higher ceiling and can go 140+ 3-5 times a year, while Buddy has less variance surprisingly and will be more consistent in the 85-110 range

JJK has a great bye too, but I think Buddy is the safer pick. I think JJK is someone you can get cheaper after a few quite games

May end going Buddy just to save 20K... I am sure I will have to go a few more expensive rookies than I have right now.

Ditto with Goldy instead of Gawn in rucks

JJK Last year

130+: 5
120-129: 0
110-119: 2
100-109: 2
90-99: 2
80-89: 5
<80: 6

High of 180, low of 39. That'll be a pass for me.

Apart from NRoo (Lock!), only key forwards I'm considering are Lynch(surely gets better) and Buddy (much more consistent 19/26 80-120, 2/26 120+, 5/26 <80)

Agree - NROO, Lynch and Bud are the only 3 KPP's I'd consider starting

I'm thinking of starting Lynchy this year. Dunno why but he's found his way into my team.

He had 16/22 scores over 82, 8 over 110 and averaged 93. 100 after his bye. 5 scores fell between 66 and 77.

Had two stinkers last year (42 and 37) in a 91 point mauling and and an absolute soaker where they lost to Sydney by 7 goals.

All these gun mids coming back in, his ownership sitting at 10% and the fact he has Brisbane Round 1 (last 4 - 123, 114, 146, 112) means I'm struggling to think otherwise. Obviously the Rd 9 bye hurts but hopefully by then I'll have some mooing cows and can cop the points loss.

Thoughts?

I think Lynch could be a very good pick, I'd prefer him right after his bye though. It means you don't have to start a rookie in his place and can have him play all 3 weeks over the main bye period.

Yep, exactly my thoughts as well. He was in my initial team before I settled on this plan.
