91.7       100
103.9     99.5
95.4       93.9

Last three seasons. Why is the guy on the left considered a lock but the guy on the right isn't?

Good question now tell us who you are talking about  :P

Looks like Dahl on left and Macrae right

Imo Dahl has higher ceiling and can push 105 where as I think Macrae caps out at 100 and puts out more sub 80's

Both should be Top 6 either way

Dahl's averages injury impacted too if I recall

Ada just sticking up for his Toronto love :P

I've actually got a pretty good one. Tom Bell.

I might be a bit biased with him because I love the guy, he was quickly developing into my favourite player at Carlton before he left. He has all the physical tools to be a SC beast and actually averaged 89.5 and played every game that season. He had injury issues all last season and it hurt his performance on the field.

I see a number of positives to picking him. The year he average 89 he was playing mainly as a forward in one of the worst forward lines in the league. Carlton finished last that year so the situation isn't far from where Brisbane are in this point of their development.  If he did average 89 again it would be serviceable for a F6. He has a high ceiling and was able to post two scores over 140. He can win the contested ball and is an elite endurance athlete.

Some of the negatives. His disposal efficiency is an issue. He can butcher the pill at the best of times. You won't get consistency week to week, but that's what happens when you play his role. He has some issues surrounding his health right now but played JLT 2 and scored mid 80's.

Priced at a 69 average he is probably 15-20 points under priced. If he cleans up his disposal he could easily push a 95+ average.

Will I start with him? Probably not. Is he worth a risk if you are going the mid price strategy? Most definitely.

Shane Edwards and Isaac Smith are a couple of others that could be interesting POD's if you think your F6 will be alright if he has a 90 average.

Ringo

Hopefully Bell stays in best 22 with performance as there will be pressure on him from the outset with depth.  Lester, Barrett, Keays, Walker and Clayton will put the pressure on.

These things really matter in SC tho.

He hits the scoreboard, tackles and wins the contested pill which makes up for it.

His year last year basically sums up Richmond. He looks like the barometer. 2015 he had a huge spike in his average up to 90 and that included a couple of vests. Richmond were a finals side and he was a pretty critical piece. Last year his scores dropped to their lowest since 2011 and Richmond struggled. I was looking at him for my draft leagues more then anything.

He just refuses to get his hands dirty when the Tiges are up and about his scores look good because he can just seagull his way through games but when it is tough going he is nowhere to be seen hopefully with some new kids and Prestia and Caddy we can phase him into the 2's where he belongs

When I first made a team I saw Isaac smith and immediately went lock. But then I thought about it and he would be the only bloke I would tag in the side. Not going to be able to tag Mitchell and omeara as they too inside and Isaac would be the one and most damaging.

With Hill, Mitchell and Lewis out he might see some more attention. Teams aren't tagging as much so I don't think it's really a worry. I think if I was to tag someone at the Hawks it would be in this order.

Cyril (if he is in the middle)
Hodge (same as Cyril)
O'Meara
Smith

When O'Meara was up and going he hurt teams with his spread from the contest. He would rack up as much uncontested ball as he did contested and was a brilliant decision maker. If he starts to show those signs teams might look to clamp down on him. You might be right though that they go to Smith early. He could be a good upgrade target somewhere down the track. I still don't see him averaging much more then 90, so it really comes down to what premium numbers are for forwards this year.
