"Fremantle superstar Nathan Fyfe has played the past month with a substantial chest injury that has required him to wear a protective vest to help him get through to a much-needed mid-season bye and rest.

WAtoday understands Fyfe has endured agonising pain with severe bruising high into his chest cavity since early last month."

Does this change some opinions?  Not sure whether the week off will help or not.  He took a heavy tumble on Saturday going for a climber and this could of further damaged ribs.

Stupid to go Fyfe -> Scooter next week? Gives me an extra player next week and $$ to look for upgrades.

I wouldn't. No better chance of Scooter being a safe starting option than Fyfe, so you're probably still going to want to upgrade him later. Depends what you can do with the 150k, but then it's 150k harder to upgrade Scooter than Fyfe, though that gap will close. money wise it makes a bit of sense, but trades wise not really.

Thinking the same... in addition to the extra player this week it gives you the cash to upgrade elsewhere... Torn ATM, lack of rookies is hurting

Shows what a champion he is, still going hard for the ball, when he has to. Maybe not ideal for SC, especially this year, but explains a lot to me as a Freo supporter. Hope he comes back fit after the bye and starts pumping out 130s!

why is this not public knowledge given the amount of money invested in fantasy and straight out betting.   For me it would have been fantasy relevant.   Though probably not seen me trade him.  In fact if we can get some idea of when he might recover it could save people trading him.

Ribs take time, in any case I think he needs to go. The bye is enough reason to ditch him.

Holz

Was only going 110 over the first 5 weeks.

Happy to ditch. Just over 100k to rocky or ablett seems great. Make 60 points up just thiz week on bye.

So thats 5 points a game.

Its 120 +5 v 100 + 1 trade + 100k

shaker

Getting rid of Fyfe may be the only way of avoiding a donut this week just praying for a RD. 11 or 12 rookie or for Hibberd or Eddy to be named

Club probably considers Fyfes health important, i.e opposition players not knowing how vulnerable Nat's chest area is during games lol
which is perfectly understandable, we fantasy coaches should know our place...far behind the real stuff.

Time for Beams again. 127+ in last 3... what I was expecting at the start of the season. Cheaper than Jelwood, GAJ and others who have had the bye.
Could hold Fyfe but with poor scores, injury and the bye it just makes sense to trade him.

Fid

My concern with Beams is that he is playing with both Zorks and Rocky...

being on the bottom of the ladder, surely one of those three will have to score low.

Rocky returned last week and will improve, will that impact Beams score?

If I had more trades would be going Fyfe -> GAJ this week

Absolutely. Research will show you that is the case.

GAJ laid 10 tackles or more this week... no probs with his shoulder now. He's the one. Looks like I made a mistake.
People can make their own minds up.
JPK and Bont are cheap too. Cases can be made for all premiums. I'm getting Rocky. No I'm not. I'm getting GAJ. And by GAJ I mean Beams.

The research shows him averaging 120+ with Rocky and Zorko before this year iirc
