The guy can rack up the points but people are worried about Bombers players starting slow after a year off but not about Fyfe almost having a year off with a fractured leg the second time on the same leg , does not mean I won't start him but at close to 600K I might just see how he will be used in case they decide he might get a few more spells on the bench

True but fyfe is a better player then the whole essendon squad combined.

I'm serious at this stage would rather start Neale than Fyfe but could change see what happens in the preseason comp

I was referring to the Fyfe being better than the whole Essendon squad combined comment.

Haha ok well that is Holz just being Holz  :P

bowyanger

20 disposals and 2 goals halfway through 2nd quarter

I know its only pre season but I think Fyfe is going to be doing all the heavy lifting at Freo this year

Neale going ok as well

Grufflez

Anyone see Neale maintaining or increasing his output from last year with a fit Fyfe added in?
It just seems implausible as Neale requires so much of the ball to score as well as he did.

Keen to here reasons from anyone with a different take on the situation.

Barlow out, Fyfe in.

The other way to look at it is Barlow out Neale in. There was always room for the Freo mids to rack up the ball because they get first use from Sandi. They will be possession sluts.

SharkBait

Just remember they played Carlton. Every midfield in the comp is going to score well against them.

Even after having a year off Fyfe showed what he is capable off and at his price should be in every team. Absolute lock!

Neale on the other hand has only really had one elite year (without Fyfe) so you're already paying overs for him.
Pretty sure he had shoulder surgery in the off season as well. Doesn't look like it will affect him but you never know.
I think he's more of an upgrade player after the bye if he kills it. Fyfe cheaper and far more upside!

Perth radio station 96FM have claimed Fyfe has been offered $1.5m a year to play with the Saints next year. Wow!! Sources say it is a done deal and who wouldn't accept this kind of cash.
