Second year playing AF, first go at a team for 2017! No money left in the kitty at this point so a little risk there, but things will probably change between now and the start of the season, especially with the rookies.

Bit iffy with Hibberd at this point, not sure whether it would be safer to go with Thurlow. Hoping Hibberd can go back to his 2014 form and in a new environment I hope that is the case (possible keeper).

Yeah I can understand about Hibberd and was tossing up whether to have him or not..Gone Thurlow for the moment.

Can't see Matty Crouch keeping up but it is a PoD...1st team I've seen him in. Titchell been marked for tagger roll from what ive heard...

Rooks not commenting on until JLT is going and we get to see who really could / wont be there for round 1...

Not too bad overall.

Yeh will monitor Crouch, but really hoping he can continue his form from the last few games of the season and bump that average above 100.

Yeh have also heard the same, and seeing how popular he is I might head towards someone like Gibbs or Coniglio.

Hibberd should average 80-90, worth a D4-5 I think. I see you've gone a set and forget philosophy with the rucks, I reckon Gawn will have a patch and drop at some stage, he's a bit up and down.

Feel pretty confident with Gawn, hes still fairly young in terms of being a ruckman and from round 12 only had one score below 100 with 95 and averaged 116 between then and round 23, so hoping he can take off from where he left of from and not have a slow start like last year, the new ruck rules should assist his scoring a bit also. I was burnt badly by rucks last year and believe these two to be the safest options based on age and fitness/injury level at this point in time.

Also wanting to upgrade Titchell to Dangerfield, not sure how he will fit in at this point

Drop swallow to a rookie and use the cash to upgrade titchell :)

Dangerfield IN, Mitchell OUT

Feel like Mitchell is too much of a risk with potentially copping the tag and also he is a bit inconsistent. Dont want to get burnt by not having Danger and not being able to find the money/room to bring him in later on in the game. Feel like he has the potential to improve on his scoring now that he is settled in.

J.Berry IN, Swallow OUT

Really wanted to start with Swallow, but also really wanted to bring Danger in so had to make cash somewhere. No real reasoning for Berry besides his DPP status which will be useful for trading/covering players. Getting rid of Swallow also means I only need to cover one player (Ryder) in the round 9 bye also.

63k cash left over now also.

Updated team going into the final week of JLT

156k left over

Rookies subject to change, especially Balic who we havent seen at all yet. Also aware that some guys are still rookie listed.

Had Miller in place of Navarakis which left 28k to spare, but not completely sold on him so went to Navarakis who is cheaper and has the ruck dpp. Hopefully GC play full strength against a full strength bulldogs this week to give a good gauge on what his output will be like.

Would like to get Otten in the backline as his output has been quite good so far, JS/finding a spot for him is the issue though. Almost considering moving Adams into the midfield to cover the lack of rookies in the midfield and then trying to move him back as my first downgrade/upgrade of the season.

.

WhatMate

Post JLT team.

81k spare

Rookies subject to change.

See above RE: Adams. Worried about Rocky (see thread in players & trades). Aware of Gawn and Spencer situation and will change Gawn if Spencer named

Ringo

Nice Team to sit on. Like most awaiting what rookies are available.

WhatMate

Final team with 54k in the bank.

Had to drop Grundy for Martin to bring in Taranto. Really didn't want to spend 250k on a rookie but feel like Taranto will be the only 70+ forward line rookie; if anyone could suggest a better idea im keen to hear it.

Gawn/Martin will get dropped for Grundy if Spencer/Archie are named.

Open to suggestions.

Good looking team! Only change I'd make is Wigg to M.Kennedy via putting Pickett on the mids bench. I dont think Wigg will play and M.Kennedy who is around 190K is looking likely too.
