Yep, 160k but rock solid JS, and even if he scores 60-70 most weeks I'll take that to start with, and is decent D8 cover at worst

Reckon he can avg 70+ this year

As a pies fan I wouldnt say his JS is rock solid, not many of the Pies key positions are. Moore, Reid and Grundy are all locked in. Then you have Dunn and Schade fighting for a key defensive position and Keefe, White and Cox fighting for a key forward/back up ruck positon.

If Moore, Mayne, Elliot  and Fasolo are fit I see only one of those three playing, and all can back up ruck. Keefe is the front runner at this stage but no lock to play every week and could make way for one of the others if his form isnt up to it.

At 160k though he is still well on my radar, just not locked in.

White, Keefe, Moore, Mayne can all play in the same team... Keefe only one who isn't mobile, the rest cover the ground as well as most midfielders.

Cox is a spud and shouldn't get a look in with gault coming back from injury.

Only concern with keefe is if we even want a guy who isn't mobile, White is better when he's in the ruck part-time

1) Those 4 talls will never be selected in the team as forwards at the same time. Although Keefe has been training as a forward, I still feel he is a good chance in the future to be moved back in defence.
2) Cox isnt a spud. You just have no clue! Also for the record Gault isnt even a collingwood player anymore.

Have to run with both if named. Keefe is locked into their 22 and should be everyones team. And if Scharen can get up too then that would make the 3 prems in defence look very enticing

RaisyDaisy

Haha, yeah Gault got delisted last year

Schade is on the rookie list

White is a flowering spud

Keeffe best 22

batt

If they both play I'm sure we will see a number of 3 premium back lines... maybe even 2.

sammy123

i've got both. should both play rd 1 JLT pending

Just a slight concern with Scharenberg and possible resting but if named for Rd1 will probably start both.

Finished 2nd in the time trial (admittedly against the new recruits/rookies) but smashed Josh Thomas and some other young mids. He also looks bloody fit in the pic! I'd take him over Jesse White in a heartbeat fwiw

This is what Buckley said when asked about Keefe

"Thanks Brenton, we know Keeffey can play down back if required but our depth charts indicate he may be a better chance of playing senior footy as a Fwd/2nd Ruck. He has trained really well and will be ready when called upon. Came back very fit."

That doesn't sound to me like a guy that's locked in the best 22 at all. I think he will have to play some good footy in the JLT to be getting a game round 1

Take that with a grain of salt

Don't expect Buckley or any coach for that matter to come out and say a guy who has missed 12 months due to a drug ban will walk into the 22

But he will ;)
