$43,900 remaining.

Ideally, would have preferred to have Adams over Williams but it's so hard to let one of my midfielders go. Am I too light in the forward line? Roughy at F3 is a big risk but hopefully it can pay off.

Your team looks great, I would just get Ryder in there instead of Roughead as cover for Sandi.

+2 With Sandi already having a calf strain need to have that back up. Nice team to sit on till we know what rookies will be playing.

Thanks guys, hoping Sandi is able to pull through unscathed this season. Was $5000 short of going Roughy > Ryder so I've had to downgrade Macrae to either Caddy/Heeney. Currently have Caddy at F2 but keeping a close eye on Heeney.

Can't see Williams pushing above 90-95, which means he probably wont be a top 10 defender. How many giants can you expect to score 90+?
Ward, Shiel, Coniglio, Griffen, Shaw, Greene, Mumford, Scully, Deledio
Then to a lesser extent; Haynes, Stevie J, Whitfield, Kelly, Smith which Williams is in the same boat as...
Rarely a team has more than 8 guys who go over 90

I'd personally free up some cash from roughy and see what you could do with it.

personally rate mccrea and caddy on the same level, i like heeney but his output is honestly unknown at this point.

personally i rate williams, think he will get high 90s low 100s this season, with the argument about gws players taking points away from each other i think it will likely only affect the mid field with all the top end talent they have rotating through there and with the list you made i can picture griffen and probably lids dropping off, maybe greene and mumford too.

You guys both raise some very good points. I guess the JLT series will give a better idea on how he performs. In an ideal world, would have loved to get either laird, adams or montagna to fill that D3 spot but finding it hard to free up more cash.

Managed to do Shaw, Rance and Adams defence. I downgraded Josh Thomas from forward to Bowes and left Roughy at F3.

Team right now is
DEF: Shaw, Rance, Adams, Keeffe, Hampton, Berry (Ryan, Stewart)
MID: Danger, Hanners, Treloar, Sloane, Bont, Fyfe, Swallow, Myers (SPP, Pickett, Graham)
RUCK: Gawn, Sandi (Strnadica)
FWD: Dahl, Macrae, Roughy, Ainsworth, Bowes, Drew (Rioli, Eddy)

$18,000 left.

Might sit on this team

Money Shot

Like the team but having Sandi with no back up is very risky.

A bit of risk vs reward. Probably more risk involved but just hoping Sandi can try stay on the park

Cash left: $13,200

This is my current side after hearing Myers is out injured. Not sure i'm the greatest fan of it but the lack of midfield rookies is scaring me.

Ringo

Feel if going with Sandi you need a R/F as cover for the odd game he may miss.  Your choice though.

Nice team to sit on awaiting Rd 1 as most teams now batting deep in mids.

I think i will most likely get R/F cover after seeing all the injuries happen during the weekend & start of the week. My issue is trying to fit Ryder into the team. I could simply downgrade Caddy to Ryder and problem is solved.

Another way of fitting in Ryder is by downgrading Murphy to Vickers Willis and using the cash to upgrade Black to Ryder. What do you think of the structure? Is playing 4 rookies down back too much to rely on?
