Who, in your opinion, are the players you must have in 2017?

I'm thinking along the lines of

• Dangerfield
• Pendles

• Shaw

Feels like people have been slowly turning on Pendles the past couple of years and I have no idea why

Right now there are really only 3 must haves

Fyfe - At his price and high selection % not picking him could be suicide, if he reinjures everyone is in the same boat
Myers - Rookie that everyone will have and JS is much stronger than many others. Only way he wouldn't be a lock is if he isn't named
Shaw - Underpriced for what he can produce and his history, arguably you cannot pick another player in defence, underpriced and with as much confidence.

Arguably every other player isn't a lock
Danger - Could be argued that at his price you could be better off starting a different uber and upgrade when he drops slightly. Risky but do-able
Gawn - Goldy/Sandi is a viable option given Goldy is underpriced due to the injury last year. To me Goldy is more important than Gawn to start this year.
Docherty - 1 good year, no way is he a lock
Simpson - A year older, but with history, not a lock as you could go other players and not lose much even if he performs strongly.
Dahl - Injuries last year are a concern, probably the lock of the FWD line, but really arguments could be made to not start him
Swallow - Is arguably a lock if he starts given his ability to make upwards of 200k and a strong on field option, but again if cheaper rookies are available then he might just not be worth it.

spot on LS.  'must have' gets thrown around a bit much.  You could argue against Shaw being a must have though.  He is still pretty expensive, and if every team decides to tag him, he'll only average 80-100.  Can't see every team doing that, so he is definitely worth starting.  For the record, he's in my team, but don't consider him a must
