when he was dropped it said managing so i assumed rest. but has not yet returned. heard he was playing okay in vfl

Macreadie has had some good VFL form and probably would have come straight back in if Silvagni hadn't played so well. You couldn't drop Silvagni based on his performance on Buddy and he has backed it up week after week.

However the surprise inclusion is going to be Liam Jones. He has dominated the VFL and was named an emergency on the weekend after a string of great performances. How did he back up?

Ex-Bulldog Jones played a sensational game, restricting dumped St Kilda forward Josh Bruce to just one goal while collecting 26 touches and 15 marks.

So not only was it another quality game, it was against really good opposition in Bruce. He might be a bit out of form, but Jones smashed him looking at the head to head.
