Your team is full of talent but not really the top end talent you need to well against better teams.
Def- you've spent a lot here... your first 4 picks are good ones. Johnson could be downgraded to Mcgrath/ Keefe/ Sharenberg...
Mids- Steven, Lewis, Heppell, Watson, de Boer ...need to be replaced... take your pick of Danger, Pendles, Hanners, JPK, Bont, Rocky, Fyfe, Beams, Priddis, Treloar...and maybe keep one of your aforementioned if you want a player of difference, unique to your team.
Rucks- Goldy and Sandi are going to be popular picks....but if you keep Sandi you may want to get Ryder in your forwards and make sure your rookie has R/F DPP... Strndica is the one most on FF are using because of his draw and captain loopholing possibility.
Fwds-as for def you've spent a lot here. I really think Dahlhaus is a must have but if you want to keep your first 3 then they will be different but could work out well, though NRoo is expensive, older and has ongoing knee maintenance as a worry and Rioli is risky due to a history of regularly missing games...so perhaps a fwd line of dahl, macrae/betts, ryder, ...rookies would be better

Enzedders pretty much covered it

Though i think bob murphy is trap. other than last year (3 games 103 avereage) hes only cracked a 90 average 3 times. of those all the way back in 08. at his age and coming off an acl i just dont see it happening

fasttrack13

Only players over 350k that i like and that you've picked are Caleb Daniel and Goldy. Few others like Rance, Steven go alright. The rest probably needs to be looked at

I modified it quite a bit as you guys have suggested and have come up with this:

Defence: Docherty, Shaw, Laird, A.McGrath, Scharenberg, J.Berry (Same Bench)
Midfield: Danger, Pendles, Treloar, Rocky, Coniglio, D.Swallow, Powell-Pepper, D.Myers (Same Bench)
Rucks: Goldy, Sandi (Same Bench)
Forwards: Dahlhaus, Betts, C.Daniel, Paddy Ryder, B.Ainsworth, K.Turner (Same Bench)

Remaining Salary: $43,900

Much better team and well done.
Think forward line is still a little weak when stacked up against other teams. Would downgrade/upgrade Betts/Daniel to a prem forward of your choosing.  Rookies to consider are McLuggage, Bolton, Eddy etc.

i like that better, fairly unique forward setup, turners an interesting one to me that ive briefly considered, could aver 60-70 and make a bit of money but you could get similar productions out of some of the cheaper, but we'd have to wait untill closer to the season to determine that for sure

Nice team.  I like Coniglio as a POD

The only change I'd make here would be Betts and Daniel to something like McCluggage and McRae

How about Cam McCarthy?

he a big no no for me, barely averaged over 50 in his career and hasnt played for a while. cant see him averaging more than that and therefore wont generate much cash at a slow rate

How about Cam McCarthy?

Try Aaron Black.  Will average similar, but only 137k

Only a placeholder anyway until it becomes clearer which rookies will start R1
