Gun and Rookie strategy

Gun over 500k (AKA PREMIUM)
Rookie over under 220k

Simpson, Shaw, Danger, Pendles, Gawn, Goldy, Nroo and cyril is a good start

Have a look at all the other teams and read the other threads in Player and Trades and you'll get on pretty quickly.

Basic Structure:

DEF: Premium, Premium, Premium, Mid-Pricer, Rookie, Rookie (Rookie, Rookie)
MID: Premium, Premium, Premium, Premium, Mid-Pricer, Rookie, Rookie, Rookie (Rookie, Rookie, Rookie)
RUC: Premium, Premium (Rookie)
FWD: Premium, Premium, Premium, Mid-Pricer, Rookie, Rookie (Rookie, Rookie)

You wont see this from many teams but its a basic structure which you can play around with and will keep you in good stead

wouldnt touch mckenzie with a 10 foot pole personally, id switch him to a rookie and use your left over cash to upgrade thompson, hes well past his prime as a supercoach option

id look at changing menadue townsend jacobs in the midfield, none will score well enough for you or make you much money

theres a few others id change but considering your new to supercoach id suggest looking up on upgrade/downgrade strategies to give you a better idea on how to structure you teams. as you look those up youll get a better idea on why we choose cheap rookies rather than stack a bunch of 200-300k players in our teams, as preseaon goes on youll get a better idea of which rookies to pick as you read through these forums

looking better structurally, maybe swap kelly for a cheap rookie (luke ryan and tom stewart are popular choices at 117k) and use the left over cash to get a bench forward

Is there anything else I should do to fix my team and make it better.

id look to at trying to improve zsmit to a stef martin or better or maybe even sandilands who is actually cheaper

and id personally look at changing mitch duncan, not sure how much money you have left over but if you dont have enough to go up to one of the high 500k options some choices id prefer around his price would be hunter, prestia or viney

we'll know more about which rookies to pick closer to the season

Would be a good start.

Not a bad team, many teams are dropping a premium in both the back and forward line to bulk up there mids this season so your midfield may look weak compared to other teams however your other lines are looking very strong.
