real quick, i heard somewhere he had a career high 17 taps to adv.

that would mean he had 30sc from all his other stats. how is that possible

the whole system makes no sense to me and we dont have the stats to check up on them.

Goldy 21 touches, 29 HO, 7 Marks, 2 Clangers 1 Goal- 96 Points
Spencer 13 touches, 15 HO, 4 Marks, 4 Clangers, 3FA, 2 Goals - 100 points

so if grundy did have 17 HTA then thats 85 points. That means he had 20 HO not to advantage lets say 25% of them where sharked so that -5 points.

so then it 35 SC from other stuff.

Now he gave away 2 Frees and got 1. So i think thats -4
He had 4 clangers out of his 21 touches. So thats -16 and we reduce his possessions to 17.
He got 3 tackles so i think that is +12

Which means for 17 touches 7 marks he got 43 points.

then lets break it down even further.

those 7 marks where uncontested and lets assume they werent intercepted thats 14 points.

So thats 29 points for 17 touches.

so he had 76% efficiency so 16/21 touches were effective. as we know 4 where clangers so to me that means he has 1 ineffective touch which is zero.

so now we have 29 points for 16 touches.

lets assume all 5 (clangers + ineffective) were kicks

so he had 6 effective kicks for 24 points then he had 10 effective handballs for 15 points. So based on that at worst he should have got 39 points for the 17 touches but only got 29 so he was short 10 points.

He also had a 1% so thats another 2 points.

so according to my calculations he deserved a score at least 12 more then what he got.

Now i reckon goldy was robbed far far worse.

That cant be right... had 21 touches and 7 marks.

Huttabito

I thought someone had worked out that 5 points was the MAX a HOTA was worth and it was a grading scale based on the effect. Most of the time it was 1-2 points from watching the live score updates and 5 points was only awarded if it was tapped down someones throat and they scored a goal.

The lack of clarification is definitely not good though.

free kicks against are counted as clangers,

the clarification is why people say the game is rigged. I just showed that the numbers they gave us last year for what gets you points in wrong.

thank you that makes it far far worse.

add +8 for the double up and then 2 more effective kicks gives him another 8 points.

so that means he should have got 28 more then what he did.

strikeforce

Coming off a 110 and 95 is he a option again? Minus the Mason Cox factor looks to be hitting form? Watched him on the weekend and looks like he is back and at $450k could be a steal? Reakon he is still in the top 4 ruckman and could be a handy POD as he can go Massive on the day? whats everyone thinking?

Also if you could choose would you choose Wines or Scooter as your M9?

SilverLion

Had him all year and can tell you from experience, not worth going out of your way to get him. Either wait for Gawn, or go for someone like Goldstein or Martin if you need a ruckman target.

HoleMeal

Mummy way better.

Grundy rarely goes big.

Spite

@Holz to clear up something from a while ago, a HOTA is only worth 5 in certain parts of the ground, for memory its inside the 50m at either end.

Mummy more likely to get injured/reported/rested?

If Sandi is out today I'll be getting Grundy. Played every game. 94.1 average. Good enough this year.
There are others I'd probably prefer but my thinking is if he goes his average today... that's 94 points v a doughnut for me and to make that up whoever else I may get later on would have to make those 10-11 pts per week over the rest of the year.
$451,900 atm too... another plus.
Waiting for final teams to be named today.

His average is fine
He rarely goes BIG though, that is his biggest drawback i reckon

You're right about him not going big. If I get him I just hope he can knock up consistent 100s

He should do, we have NO other ruckmen
