Good to see you stuck with your structure and not made to many changes as for Grundy he has been improving his scoring the last 3 years see that continuing this year won't be top ruck but in the top 3 or 4 for me , I am pretty sure I will be going with him as R2 as well

Money Shot

Pretty good team! At the moment I would prefer Grundy but if Martin performs well over the next two pre season games I would be locking him in.

Good team however well done :)

Team Update:
I've ditched the 3 premo defenders because I felt my midfield was to weak with 5 premos so I want to get a 6th in there, it's come down to Zerrett v Rocky... has rocky had an uninterrupted pre season? Will probably go with him if he has! Merrett fits my byes well, is a gun and only in 3% of teams.  I feel like this is a much stronger lineup than my last one would love some feedback!

Only thing I don't like about this team is 0 wiggle room at all, only have 3.7k in the bank

Ringo

Agree with Bubbles here - Structure sound but in trouble if low priced rookies do not start.

One of the few teams with both Hanners and JPK - Could be a good move as they would be the only outs in Rd 11 bye unless you also bring in Rocky.

and here is the word from Rocky himself on preseason.

Bubbles is the coach :P

If you really need the cash leading into round 1, dropping someone like Zerrett or JPK or Hanners for a rookie or Swallow will give you plenty :)

#21
Lockout is getting closer and I am quite settled on my team... I've had Jake Lloyd from day dot and think he can be a top 8 defender this year.  I feel I can get survive starting without Shaw and Doch and get them later on in the year. Got Shuey at M5, 1.28% ownership, I want a POD and I think he is my man.  Its between Titch and Shuey for that M5 spot and I like Shuey at the moment.
I dunno what other people think about Taranto but I feel he is in the giants best 22! I think he could be big X factor for them and could play a big part in their charge up the ladder
Hoping going all out in the rucks pays off.

What do people think? :)

Not 100% sold on Shuey myself, could be a major pod though. I know most rookies are place holders now but as a north fan im gonna tell you be very careful with mountford, wont be surprised if he plays round 1 with cunnington out suspended, and if that is the case cunnington will be straight back in for him come round 2 and will probably leave you with a donut for a potentially long time.

Think that Beams/O'meara would be better options that Crouch and I think both are cheaper.
Roughy to Nankervis may be good for ruck cover and I think both will score similarily.
Good structure with some nice pods.

Bubbles

Alright you have to pick one of these two teams.... which team would you pick? I like option 2 a lot more but feel like option 1 provides more stability.

Option 1:

(E.Vickers-Willis, T.Stewart)

Mid: P.Dangerfield, S.Pendlebury, J.Kennedy,  D.Hannebery, N.Fyfe, T.Mitchell, S.Powell-Pepper, B.Parfitt
(J.Barrett, T.Miles, J.Atley)

Ruc: B.Grundy, A.Sandilands
(L.Strnadica)

Fwd: L.Dahlhaus, J.Macrae, J.Roughead, T.Nankervis, T.Taranto, K.Turner
(J.Pickett, B.Eddy)

Or

Option 2:
Def: H.Shaw, R.Laird, J.Lloyd, C.Marchbank, C.Hampton, M.Hibberd
(E.Vickers-Willis, T.Stewart)

Mid: P.Dangerfield, S.Pendlebury, J.Kennedy,  D.Hannebery, N.Fyfe, T.Mitchell, M.Crouch, S.Powell-Pepper

i like option 1, but i prefer martin over Grundy he has a higher celling.

if you do that you will have extra cash left over and can upgrade Lloyd to a better defender.

Ringo

Like 1 mainly because you have the ruck back up for Sandi.  Your choice whether to replace Grundy with Martin.

Bubbles

I'm settled and this will be my team come 7.20 Thursday night (assuming all rookies are named) I know a lot of people won't like Nank/Sandi ruck combo with no cover but Im backing in Sandi to play the first 6-7 weeks, if he goes down before round 3 it will ruin my whole season but it's a risk I'm willing to take! Plus the midfield it allows me to have ;) I've been keen on Lloyd since day one, as you can see from my first post on this thread, and I genuinely think he'll be a top 10 defender this year. Would love to hear people's thoughts on this team and remember to have an open mind to it ;)

$5.9k in the bank

Ringo

Batting very deep in Mids - Nice Structure to wait and see which rookies named.
