Have we all missed the boat on Murphy for those that don't have him? With some cash in the bank, a little shifting around, (Taranto to a rookie on the bubble, and O'Meara to Murphy) I could get him? But is it really worth pulling the pin on Taranto and Jaeger this early, and blowing 2 trades on Murphy banking on him keeping this run of form?

If you think he will end the year as a top 8-10 now to the end of the season then he is still cheap relative to the points he would be able to produce.

Taggers going out of the game. Cripps, Curnow and Gibbs all going relatively well in the mids around him and Kreuzer in excellent form bodes well for his scoring potential. I think I may have been wrong about him.
I think most of us were wrong about him!
Gonna be a tough week thinking about whether to bring him in or not

Not sure who 'most of us' are.

Those who got him (4th most popular mid over $400,000 - after Fyfe 62%, Danger 61% and Beams 45%)

or those who did NOT get him.

Is he injured?

Not sure... mixed messages. From what i saw friday night he looked shocking, he was throwing in half efforts when tackling or going for contested ball and he looked slow across the ground too. Looked pretty bad when he did it in the dying minutes. Even if he is right he won't be the same, he had it strapped from the get go...

totally depends when people picked him up.

If you had him from the start you have had a crazy good 124 for a 410k guy.

If you picked him up before the price rise a very good 117 for a 410k guy.

If you picked him up after the first price rise you got a decent 96 for a 480k guy.

ZERO tackles from Murphy this week compared to SEVEN last week.

Only FOUR Carlton players put in a decent effort

He only had 6 contested touches as well. A lot of that had to do with Ryder and the Port midfield dominance. They were getting to many clean clearances.

In regards to the knee strapping, it's  been that way since the end of 2011 and the reason he hasn't had a pre-season since. It's nothing new. It was a right meniscus from memory back then. If it's the same knee my guess is scar tissue is probably what's caused the pain and the reason he will be sore but good to play.

murphy out for 4 weeks? source player info on sc. is this true?

Wow:

" A contributing factor was that he injured the meniscus in his knee and he has now been ruled out for 4 weeks." - Source SuperCoach Player Profile

Star Blues duo Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs are expected to be fit to take on the Sydney Swans on Saturday afternoon.

Following Carlton’s 90-point loss on Friday night, both Murphy (knee) and Gibbs (thumb) had scans on their respective injuries but on Monday were cleared of any serious damage.

Head of Football Andrew McKay said the pair would have to get through training this week.

“Marc and Bryce will need to get through training this week, but both players are expected to take to the field on Saturday against Sydney,” McKay said.

“Scans have cleared Marc of any structural damage to his knee, so he will face testing during the week but we’re quite confident he will be available.

"Bryce experienced some discomfort in his thumb during Friday’s game but pleasingly, it is looking positive that he will be available for this week's match also.”

Even still, he had it strapped before hand and never looked like it... I'd take the 140k he's made you. I'm going to trade him to macrae and pocket some cash

So many BS rumour pages that spill rubbish for the sake of it.
He will be fine and will still score well. Had one off game in a massive belting and people are trading him?  :o

He's had it strapped the last 4 years, it's a non-issue.

This. His contested possessions were down and I think that had a bit to do with Kreuz out and Phillips getting dominated in the middle. He still scored 97 DT so it's not like he wasn't finding the ball.
