Like you guys are saying, at worst M8 for the season  price rise hopefully of around 100k by rd6 gives us a decent cash balance to side trade to another prem or keep him at m8 if he is still averaging around the ton.
Three of those games i see him scoring well, only the port game maybe a bit tougher.

Trying to get Murphy in but have a bit to do with the team this week. Gawn is gone but have Witts as R3. So now I have two options with 113k in the bank.

Option 1: Newman in for either Pickett (MID) or Taranto (FWD) via Hibberd. I can keep Gawn on the bench for a week and trade next week then if I use Taranto for Newman I can get Murphy in for O'Meara. There aren't any other rookies worth a trade....

Option 2: Newman in for Pickett and get Nank in for Gawn and pocket 200k but then I  miss out on the Murphy boat and have an under performing O'Meara.

Exactly what i am thinking.

Murphy has gone up 77k...thats incredible! But JOM - Murphy can be justified if you think Murphy will be a Top 8/9 midfielder this season. In my opinion Taranto can't be trusted on the field, for me he is F6 at the moment and i am considering pushing him to the bench and playing Butler. Is it worth having a 228k rookie on your bench?

Makes sense trading Taranto, but if you have Pickett or J Smith then i think those 2 especially have to go before Taranto.

If you think he will end the year as a top 8-10 now to the end of the season then he is still cheap relative to the points he would be able to produce.

Taggers going out of the game. Cripps, Curnow and Gibbs all going relatively well in the mids around him and Kreuzer in excellent form bodes well for his scoring potential. I think I may have been wrong about him.

my team is dying no need to worry about byes if i cant put up decent scores.

I wouldnt worry about 5 round 11s unless your back and forward line is stacked with them aswell.
