Murphy is a cash cow at the very least. Good luck finding a mid who can average 105 for 432k, won't happen again this year.

How is he a cash cow if you didn't start with him? will make you ~$100-120K but cost you two trades

He said a cash cow at the very least.. you wouldn't trade him in unless you see him being a keeper but worst case he makes you cash and you upgrade him to a super premo.

Personally I'm very tempted to go Omeara > Murphy as I see Murphy averaging 110+ and being a keeper. Don't see the same happening from Omeara

Higgins is the only bloke you'd touch given he's a forward, but absolutely no way I'd be looking at the others. Murphy will outscore them and is a good chance to become a 110+ player this year. We can look superficially over the numbers but many of those have been injury affected - I know because I've had him numerous times over the years. With a solid preseason behind him he's looking as sharp as he ever has been. Absolutely locked for 550k which will be a 120k profit, plus you get the 90+ scores week in, week out. The paradigm has changed this year, cash generation will need to be manufactured from other sources apart from rookies.

Fair enough. I'm also looking to bring him in as i see him as a keeper. Would be:

- Ryder to Rookie forward (Butler or Houston)
- Pickett to Murphy

Good trades?

Yes, excellent trades. The midfield rookies are on the nose this year. Even from the perspective of bench cover, guys like Murphy will be gold. Provided he stays fit he is a 20 round investment.

OdisCrows

100% yes for DT but he's never been a SC player imo so I won't be bothering getting him in. Would definantly be getting him now if you think he can ave 110+ though

Bully, what's your opinion on a Omeara > Murphy trade?
I think Omeara is playing well enough and will put up some decent scores but he's not a keeper.
May also be able to squeeze Swallow > Murphy but Swallow looked quite good for a guy playing in a side that lost by 100+

It's a marginal trade given O'Meara is working into some good form. He hasn't cracked the ton yet but his still getting leather poisoning. A definite hold for me. The guys who should be targeted are the underperforming forwards. Roughie is number one on the chopping block. He needs his 170 matches to bolster the average and I can't see it this year. Supply will be rubbish and he doesn't have the stamina to pull in midfield numbers. No way he competes with the likes of Dahlhaus, Macrae, Higgins, Greene, Miller & Buddy.

might have to burn a few more trades earlier to cash in rookies quicker.

Teia Miles too with 47

Starting to think I might pass on Murph

I can trade Ryder to WHE and GHS to Murph so it will def net me more points on field in the short term, but the issue I have is that I have Barrett, Parfitt, Pickett, Florent and even Eddy

I think I need to play the long game here and get rid of Pickett/Florent and bring in WHE and one of Houston/Butler because I'm going to need cash generation, and if I keep the 4 rookies I have they're all going to be real slow burns and not make much money whilst also providing crappy cover

I know Murph could make 100k and provide much more points, but I can't keep all of Pickett, Parfitt, Barrett and Florent because it will kill me in weeks to come when I have no cows to moo
